The TrailHunter was my backup plan - so, I naturally did the same comparison just to see. I don't see 2025 4R on Toyota.ca, but If you build it on Toyota.com it's 68.350USD. That's 96K+CAD, so more than the LC FE... I am glad I got the LC now that I see this.
I totally agree and I was 3rd on the list for the FE and could have otherwise still been waiting, but the first 2 thought it was overpriced. Even the FE was frustrating as it sat in the port for months for QA. I just think people if they really want one need a different mindset - that from my...
That's why I took my FE - I didn't want to wait and i already have a coast-to-coast trip and lots of fun offroading. I don't really need all the extra features - probably only the sway bar disconnect not on the 1958 I wanted. People waiting for a specific color I think don't know how Toyota...
Well, I cannot find any specific data. I can only find links for the SEMA build. I cannot also backup what I said about the cross-traffic alert, but I recall reading the front CTA wouldn't work. There's nothing out there from my search skills - sorry!
I'm on my 8th LC - all of which have similar slope windshield. I would say the quality is not the best on the 2024. I already have a couple of rock dings that haven't ran yet, but my 1991 LC that got hit all the time with rocks and was fine after 10 years. Maybe there will be a better...
I've been driving KO2's last 10 winters in western Canada on an 80 series LC. I put KO3's on new LC. I drove through the rockies twice in snow/packed snow/slush. Handled really well. Confident passing. I like KO3's also, because they will handle much better in muddy conditions compared to...
Mine came with 4. The ones with 5 maybe was installed as a PIO "incorrectly". If it makes anybody feel better, I think my Prinsu Pro rack is missing one as well - there's a gap that needs an extra bar...
I like the Expedition One as well. If somebody can confirm all sensors work on it - they are a bit vague. ARB states the cross traffic alerts won’t work, I believe. Plus the ARB have their own lights - I’d like to use the factory fog lights.
I got yet another "missing" part for my LC. They said that it was meant to be delivered with the vehicle, so picked it up at dealership free of cost.
I was just contemplating getting a waterproof tray to hold snow gear, but just as I was thinking about that this had arrived. It fits really...
My battery went flat again yesterday. I got all kinds of error messages that went away after a day. I'm looking for a direct replacement. All I was doing was opening the moon roof a couple of times working on the roof rack and I left the vehicle on for about an hour. I'm worried I can't even...
oh - that's a bit embarassing for me that I didn't notice. i have the FE and the roof rack has different mounts. thanks for pointing that out. still doesn't look like a solution for other aftermarket roof racks though...
is "Trail Dust" the same as "Tanami Taupe" in Australia? are there colour codes to compare against? I've had a few people ask me what colour my car is. I'd much rather say Tanami Taupe. I crossed that epic desert in another Landcruiser many moons ago.
This is what I’ve been waiting for:
https://arbusa.com/news/toyota-land-cruiser-250-gets-arbs-signature-touch
Seems lots of people really like the stealth Center only with winch mount, but this is what I’ve been waiting for. My last 2 land cruisers also I put arb bumpers on them.
Sorry OP - it wasn't my intention to hijack this thread! I have used it a fair amount. I've slept 45 nights in the roof tent so far - I use it for both setup/take down. It's small enough to stow in the door. I would make sure to get one with good rubber - otherwise it will scratch the paint...
I got the prinsu pro rack as well. I have an RTT on it and it's really just not much fun at all to deal with. I moved the tent back and it was actually easier to remove the cross bars of the rack - it is such a low profile that I can't even reach the back bolts. These were on backorder in...
It's insane the custom work on that rig - every single detail I'd really like more details on the fuel cell and how it integrates and range. That is a sick build.
That’s a nice addition. I was looking at those kinds of ladders as well. I ended up getting a door step - I was really tight on space. We did a 7 week car camping trip starting on the 2nd day of ownership, so not a lot of time to get everything together. That ladder looks well thought out.
I’d like to adjust as well for airing down. Considering not using in the summer. The warning was really handy when I got a sidewall tear. Gave me just enough time to find a level spot to change tires.
