OP thanks for your review. Having owned a FJ Cruiser and a 4Runner just curious on the power output. Would you say:
1. Pleasantly pleased on more response
2. Comparable to past vehicles
3. Adequate but not overwhelmed
4.. Not happy.
I can understand the height adjustment being a huge plus.
IMHO you're just wrong.
I have been a part of the FJ Cruiser forum for 19 years. The way that this is set up is a proven system and works for multitudes of vehicle forums. Nothing will wither and die, you're just seeing it at its' infancy.
I own a 2022 Bronco. There are 3 companies that now produce aftermarket lamps that are configurable, look good and cost less.
My advice? Don't worry. Not right away maybe but they will be on sale soon.
They took it up wheeling in icy conditions, got stuck, something popped and their 4 wheel truck became a two wheel truck. Given the time when it was filmed we are waiting for what failed (at the dealership). They did not abuse the truck.
I view this video as apples and oranges. It doesn't answer what failed and is an early production model. I think things like this need to happen in order for Toyota (or any manufacturer) to make things right.
It's also the reason why I'm in no rush to purchase.
I owned a 2015 GX. It was never a barn burner with respects to fast take offs and the V8 was good from about 30mph on. It was/is a heavy vehicle.
I sat in the new GX this year at the off road expo. I have no doubt that the 6cyl turbo will destroy the V8 but there is the premium fuel issue. I...
I think most of us would agree that the styling of the new Land Cruiser is a home run (at least for me). The huge question mark is the powertrain. I am less concerned with the noise out of the tailpipe then I am with power going up into the mountains.
Recent news is that this new powertrain is...
I am a 2 door Badlands owner with the 2.7 motor that has driven it 23,000 miles.
Prior to that I've owned most 4WD Toyotas including FJ40, FJ60, 4Runner, GX460 and an FJ Cruiser. I have also owned a 2013 Jeep Rubicon. IMHO the previous posters that complained about the noise and top are not...
In every other vehicle this would be an easy choice for me, round. But I have to admit that the rectangular lights looks great. What is throwing me off is the front bumper and the dead space underneath the headlamps. Personally, the fog lamps and their diminutive size is silly.
So my vote would...
I have a better relationship with the local Lexus dealer and I went to the Overland Expo that was up in Loveland Colorado on September 1st. At the Lexus booth and the Toyota booth I gave them my email address to contact me. I received one email from Toyota with an overview and the official...
I believe it's a clever design. Molded plastic flaps can be caked with mud or snow to where there's rubbing. I think this is a way to prevent that. It also allow you to pull them up, out of the way completely without having to remove anything.
Having the opportunity to sit in the GX550 there wasn't much to hate. Along with the layout it felt cozier than my 2015 GX. The seats felt more secure.
I went to the Overland Expo on Friday up in Loveland. I knew that the GX550 was going to be there but I was pleasantly surprised to see the new Tacoma and a First Edition Land Cruiser. The GX you could climb into and it was mentioned that the model displayed is like 95% true to what will be...
1. Would bother me if I planned to sleep in it. So personally a non issue.
2. Agree my $50k Bronco badlands has 6 prewired AUX switches. It should be included.
3. Really? I think Jon was reaching to make his list 5 instead of 4. A/M suppliers are doing this for the Bronco for around $80.
4...
I did see the 27 MPG like last week. I haven't seen that they removed it but to be honest I thought that any mention of MPG at this point is premature. I believe that was a rumor that snowballed.
It's been my experience that the auto manufacturers hold those numbers close to the chest until...
If the planets align next year I will be leaving my 2 door Ford Bronco Badlands for the Land Cruiser.
I use to own an FJ Cruiser and a Rubicon. It was from these past vehicles that I learned that IFS is the way to go for a daily driver/part time explorer. The solid axle of the Rubicon was just...
Sorry I was late to this party. Traffic is terrible in Denver.
Extremely interested in the drivetrain as probably the biggest unknown of this vehicle. Styling, interior and exterior is a home run IMO.
