Clunky start/stop? This is my first vehicle with that feature and honestly I didn’t even know it was doing it until I read some where about it. On mine it’s so subtle that I have to be paying attention to even notice when it does it.
I hate when dealers add things because it’s just a money maker for them. You can likely get all the things they have mentioned for less than what they’re going to charge, and you may not even want those things. Don’t let a dealer force you into paying exorbitant markups for things you don’t want...
I have the Falken Wildpeak AT4s on my LC and would not consider them louder than any other good AT tire on dry pavement. I run Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs on my F150 and my 96 LC and they’re great: long wearing, good traction overall and reasonably quiet. I went with the Wildpeaks just to try...
I got my LC in late July and wore sunglasses (polarized) every time I drove it for the first couple of months, so I didn’t realize there was a HUD.
Now that The Great Darkness has settled in upon the PNW, I’m not wearing the sunglasses much. And I rarely even notice the HUD because I’m...
I agree that the cool box is a waste of space. I’ll never use it for its intended purpose and would much rather have the storage. I got one of the trays from @bgeorger and it’s very useful.
Oye, that’s rough. I heated mine up and didn’t even need dental floss—it lifted right off. I cleaned it lightly with denatured alcohol and that was that.
I’d like to think that my LC, built at the Hino plant, will be very bit as good if not better than if it had been built at Tahara. Why? Because I’d also like to think that employees at Hino have a chip on their collective shoulders and want to surpass the Tahara employees in perceived quality...
I bought the TRD badge, tried for 30 minutes to get it installed, and finally gave up. No badge for me unless I get really bored and creative this winter.
I’m 25 miles outside Seattle and have seen 2 other LC’s since I’ve had mine (got it end of July). Spotted one GX prior to that.
Unfortunately, I’ve seen more Cybertrucks than Land Cruisers.
Today I got my best mpg to date: 21.5mpg over approximately 30 miles, across a mountain pass on the interstate at speeds from 65-80mph. Normal mode.
It’s getting better!
I’ve had mine for a bit over a month and have 1100+ miles on it. All manner of driving. It continues to impress in nearly every way: it’s quiet riding (except when on the interstate with a cross-wind; then I really hear the resistance from the roof rack/rails (LCLC trim). It’s zippy around town...
I bought that same badge, which is modeled after the chrome badges from the 80 series. I’m trying to decide which one to use. I like the authentic OEM version but the black matches better.
So these things have a User Manual?
I just drive mine and occasionally flip through the menu and discover new things about it. I’ll never try to understand all the features. I am really enjoying it.
I put Falken Wildpeak AT4’s on almost immediately after taking possession of my LC (275/70r18, load range E). Returned recently from a 900 mile road trip to Montana and back, I’m able to report that they are smooth and quiet, handle well at interstate speeds up to 85 mph. As far as road noise...
I’ve been pondering that badge. It’s based on the OEM chrome badge from the 80 series. I’ve also considered the OEM version but I’m not sure I want chrome on the new LC.
Is this the one you got...
