 So the rule is to go with traffic...in a whiteout...into a pileup? Right. Don't be selfish and save yourself, your passengers, and those in cars around you...just keep up with everyone because you wouldn't want to be alive (but righteously selfish).
You're also inadvertently contradicting...
I agree. It's a big box pushing wind going down the road, weighs over 2 1/2 tons, full time 4WD, and the complaints about gas mileage, acceleration, wind noise, not "sporty" handling...ugh.
This. "Being reasonable" is not a reasonable answer.
The idea that I need to accelerate at a certain pace to make others happy is ridiculous. Just because my vehicle can get to 60 mph in x amount of time doesn't mean I have to do it. "Being reasonable" is subjective, and driving to match what...
I think it looks great except for the wheels. I'm not a fan of the bronze wheels, but to each their own - that's why they make so many designs! Sharp and shiny!
I don't drive for any efficiency numbers either. So what I am experiencing is not true and the only way anyone gets better gas mileage is by driving in "fake conditions"? Right
This isn't true.
My last trip was a round trip from NE PA to southcentral PA, total travel time of about 9 hours. It's a mix of about 2/3 interstate or 4 lane roads and 1/3 two lane roads. On the interstate/4 lane roads cruise was set at 76 mph, average on 2 lane roads was probably 50-55. At...
I've had no issues with heating the seats or getting things warmed up enough, have been remote starting for a few weeks. I have the front and rear synced and it's always warm at the 10 minute mark. Maybe the app isn't saving your settings correctly?
Heading out in half an hour for a trip from NW PA to southcentral PA, about 7 hours round trip if the traffic and weather cooperate. The LC makes it easy. One thing I really like is the extender on the front seat at the bottom. You can pull it out and get a more support under your legs just...
6'1", 230, coming from a JLU, and find the LC much more comfortable all around. I do 4-7 hour trips a couple times a month and like mentioned earlier, set the adaptive cruise and relax. I have the FE though with padding on the right leg side so that might make a difference (not sure what other...
One thing that I dislike for any brand and model is the eleventy hundred different models and configurations. Ugh.
"Nice 4Runner, which model is that?"
"It's the 4Runner TRD iForceMAX Premium SR5 Platinum Limited Off-Road Justin Bieber model. Only thing it's missing is a cool box."
I had a similar issue with my JLU not long before I got rid of it. An electrical connector behind the glove box that was the "master" connector for the engine info to the dash "corroded" and randomly took out power steering, power brakes, dash info, etc. I took it to the Jeep dealership and they...
I have an iPhone 11 Pro (I know, I know  ) and no subscriptions. I have an unlimited data plan and just use that. No need for anything else as far as I know to get remote start, locking, etc. to work and to use Carplay.
The only thing I do notice is that after using remote start, I see...
If set to windshield and feet, not very loud even all the way up. However, push the "Front" button and it's quite loud - which is good for defrosting the windshield. Reminds me of my JLU in that respect...that thing had the heat of the sun blowing at the windshield at eleventy twelve MPH. Need...
My FE has retractable side mirrors. You can set them up to either stay out or fold in automatically when you shut the car off. Possibly on the trail manually fold them in but haven't tried.
I don't know, based on the sales it's a win for Toyota, and I'm thinking the base 4Runner expected at $43K will fill that "reasonably priced" slot. I don't know how much you could strip off of a 1958 to hit that price point.
