I had it done at the selling dealership at 1,098 miles. They tried to talk me out of it, but I wasn’t going to swayed. Like others have said, I’ll do it again at 3,000 miles, then 5,000 before finally following the factory recommended every 5k plan. Fluids and lubes are cheaper than parts and labor.
Thanks… I am totally smitten with the color. I had a ‘78 FJ40 in mustard yellow for many years. Trail Dust may now be my new all-time favorite color. I think it looks amazing on the LC, especially out in nature.

I’m a surfer (also primarily a long boarder) and a paddle boarder. My First Edition came with the FE rack, but after trying to use it, I pretty quickly traded it for OEM rails and cross bars. They work with my lifestyle so much better.
Traded the First Edition rack for some rails and crossbars. I’m a paddle boarder and surfer, not a hardcore overlander. Crossbars work better for my lifestyle. Removed the squishy rubber air dams.
Time won’t permit that for me, but I just wanted to be sure we could be on the same page about getting it done quickly. I’ll try to contact you privately to see if we can button up the details?
I’d be interested in trading my FE Roof Rack for your Roof Rails. Do you have the cross bars as well? There’s a period that leaves both of us vulnerable to water intrusion when each rack is off the vehicle.
I’m in Asheville, NC.
This especially! I’ve been trying to turn off all the nanny controls as much as possible. It takes time to figure it all out.
One thing I love about my ‘18 Jeep Wrangler is since it’s an off-road vehicle, I can kill the seat belt chime. There are legitimate reasons off-road to not have all the...
Hello Everyone,
I just got my new LC FE last week ,and I’m getting used to it. I’ve owned several 4Runners, a Tacoma, a Land Crusier Heritage Edition, and a ‘78 FJ40. I love Toyota 4WD vehicles.
While there are many things I like about the 250 LC, the robots and nanny controls are incredibly...
