I use the lights shown here in my home's coat closet, cabinets in the garage, and over my work bench. They work great and have lasted a couple years now. The motion detection works perfectly. Highly recommended...
Great post. I'm so jelly! read everything on the engine breaking and DAC but I am curious if you ever encountered a spot where you used crawl on that trip or at any other time you were off-road.
Saw this on YouTube - TrailRecon. He has done some pretty cool mods for serious off-roaders. What do you think about the exhaust mod?
Exhaust part is at about the 14 minute mark.
I just left my dealer and he confirmed it’s the electronic parking brake. I never heard this when it was new. I wonder if it’s going to get louder as time goes on.
Thanks. I didn't have time to mess with it as I just finished and had to head out. When I got back I cycled both and it worked just like you said.
I followed the video and the whole process took just under an hour. It's not a mind blowing change but it is definitely better than stock
Well I just installed it in mine (LC Premium) Sounds really good compared to the stock amp!!! However, when I start the car I have a parking break error then a system error. I took out the center console and made sure the 3 connections were clicked in and they were. Unplugged them and...
Toyota didn’t seem too concerned. The FE on the showroom floor had the same issue. I guess I can take off the liftgate door card and see if the bolts can be tightened. OR leave it alone. Things to ponder.
Thanks! I'm not sure if this is an engineering design or not. Maybe tightening is a bad idea. Going to talk to my local tomorrow although I doubt they know anything about it. They do have an FE on the floor so I'll go see if it is loose.
I don't have the FE,. I have the LC and the cross bars on the roof definitely cause wind noise. My wife thinks the cross bars make it look cooler so I am dealing with it for now..... LOL I know the FE has a different roof rack setup and I am not sure what the wind noise it could generate but...
The back spoiler that is attached to the roof and rests on the back glass seems awfully loose. I noticed this while drying off the glass after a car wash. Anyone else notice this?
Thanks. I hadn't considered that. I guess I am just looking at the LC wheelbase. Same with full size pickups, tahoes, 4 door jeeps and broncos. I am curious now though. Does the torsion central diff overcome the wheel base length problem and put it on par with a 2 door jeep or other short...
I've driven up Imogen 3 times in a Rubicon and it is not for the faint of heart. Never did Black Bear due to the difficulty. Not surprised they made it but it was obvious by the style of support vehicles traveling with them they knew it was going to be iffy. Add a two inch lift and rock...
Ah the one that ends in 41 and not 44. Thank you. for the help. Did you by any chance buy the rear differential skid plate? If so what part number was that?
FYI....I own the Land Cruiser edition and I ordered and received this Toyota branded front skid plate. On the Toyota accessories website for owners it asked me for the VIN number then listed out the parts and accessories that were available for my vehicle. It was $330 after dealer discount...
I have a new LC 250 series and ordered the front and transmission Toyota skid plates which arrived yesterday. Anyone installed these themselves? It seems like it should be straight forward but curious to know if there are any recommendations or gotcha's I need to know about.
I am excited to join the Toyota Land Cruiser forum! Having loved my Series 80 for its rugged reliability and classic styling, I am now thoroughly enjoying the new 250 Series Land Cruiser. The advancements in technology and comfort in the 250 Series are impressive, and I can't wait to share my...
