I had my dealer install them in my LC trim, they work great (negotiated as part of the purchase). We searched for days to find a switch that would fit in that blank, but we couldn't find a double that would work. Aftermarket kit, cost me around $600 installed.
Thank you, they looked like the Taco wheels but wanted to make sure. Did you buy new or find takeoffs? Been looking for the latter without any success.
I've used it with most of my vehicles over the years to watch the health of the engine. Very useful to tell if you have any intake leaks or bad air filter (high silicon), unusual bearing or engine wear, coolant leaks etc. as well as whether my oil change intervals can be extended or are too...
1700 miles, stock tires. Seeing 19-20 around town, lots of stop and go, and 23-24 on the highway with 70-80mph speed limits and a lot of mountain passes with high altitude. Noticeable improvement after 1000 miles.
Great to hear your feedback, that was my exact experience with these tires on my GX460. I agree with the E-rated comment, I haven't found a need for E-rated in the terrain we have in Utah (Moab, trails, etc) unless the rock crawling a 4+ with aired down tires.
Do you have any photos?
JBLC, what is your opinion of this tire now that you have it installed? Any difference in MPG, driving dynamics, or noise? I had these on my GX460 and really liked them.
These often get overlooked but I will second this recommendation. I had these on my GX460, put on last winter and loved them. Quiet on the road, great looking with nice sidewalls, very good in the snow (3psf) and they treated me well offroad (no mud tho). I will be putting these on my LC.
I had these same tires on my GX460 and found the same. Very quiet, better road manners than my former BFG and Falken AT3W, lower weight than both (unsprung weight), and great in the snow (3 peak snowflake rated). I'll be putting these on mine in the fall.
These are excellent tires! They are the new version of their top rated all terrain tire (one of the top tires on Tirerack), I had these on my GX before I sold it and loved them. They're also 3 peak snowflake rated if you live in the northern climate.
I really love it, the pictures on Toyota's website just look yellow and don't do it justice. It's got some olive green in the shade and incredible in the sun. My first choice was Heritage Blue or Underground but I'm glad I ended up with this one.
Hello from Utah! New owner of a Trail Dust LC trim w/ Premium Package as of yesterday. Last vehicle was a GX460, and really love this vehicle so far in comparison.
