It seems that there is fuel dilution given the flashpoint measurement and viscosity @100C. For unnused Toyota Genuine Motor Oil 0W-20, it should be at around 8 cSt. I found this report on another forum:
For what it's worth, the gasoline version of the Prado in the global market comes with the just the turbo 4 cyl engine, non-hybrid (at least for the time being). From what I gather, it also seems to require (or at least "recommend") premium gas.
I don't disagree with your post. However, the Tacoma has the same drive train but does not require premium gas. Different tuning perhaps? The HP/torque numbers seem the same though.
You would be correct if you were talking about the Prius/Camry/Highlander/etc. The hybrid system in the LC250 is not for efficiency purposes, but for torque/power. I like to think of it that instead of putting 2 turbos into the engine, like they did with the GX550/LC300/LX600, they put a turbo +...
The LC250 sold abroad in the GCC "recommends" premium gas. I'm waiting for the manual to be made available. Note that this is the RON rating, 95 RON translates to ~91 AKI. I wonder if there is any difference in tuning between there and here. Note that this is a non-hybrid model.
This is a still from a video for the LC250 Prado sold in the GCC. 95 RON is 91 AKI (i.e. "premium"). Note how it says "recommended fuel type". I'm waiting for the manual to be published.
