Air conditioning blowing warm air on low settings

Same here.. Read a possible explanation: if the outside and/or cabin air temp is lower than the AC temp you set on the thermostat, the vehicle will blow hot to bring it to that temperature. Low would blow cold as the AC isn’t trying to achieve a set temperature. Not sure if this is correct...

    Land Cruiser Cleaning Hacks

As we put our LCs through the paces and use them as they were intended, I figured a place to share cleaning hacks is warranted. I recently did 200 mi along some of the dustiest trails I’ve ever been on (think Pig Pen). Hours of using the wipers dry to clear the windshield enough to see out of...

    Bumpers

Thoughts on this new low profile? Price is decent and it blends in pretty well with the OEM look. https://lfdoffroad.com/products/front-winch-bumper-land-cruiser-250-2024?

    Roof Weight Limits

Sorry, the First Edition roof rack can support 165 dynamic and 600 static. I’m not sure what the roof with OEM roof rails or without any rails (slick top) can support.

    Roof Weight Limits

Not sure if you mean with a rack or slick top? The FE rack is 165/600.

    2400 Watt Inverter

Just had the LC out on the trail last weekend with a Jackery 1000plus. Ran it down to 50% with Starlink and camp electronics overnight, and plugged it back in to the inverter once we hit the trail in the AM. LC had it back at 100% in a short period of time. So also imagine it’s high output while...

First Edition Roof Rack / RTT - Will it fit?

Correct, stock size with E Load (10ply) Toyo Open Country AT3s. They have a C Load (6ply) but I opted for the E Load for the thicker sidewalls on the slightly heavier tire. They did great running 18-20lbs aired down for the trail.

Air Filter Maintenance (Engine & Cabin)

For anyone interested, I just ordered replacements for the engine and cabin air filters through Longo for a slight discount. Local dealer has them back ordered and quoted me $45 a piece. Longo says they’ll be here next week. Changing them out as I did 200mi of heavy dust driving last weekend...

In or around Indiana and want a larger fuel tank?

That’s the approach I took. Was nice to have albeit I didn’t need it - https://a.co/d/fqL5Jax

WA Back Country Discovery Route (BDR) - Recommendations

Fuel will not be an issue for sections 2 or 3. I took a 2.5 gal jerry can but opted not to fill it based on listed route mileage. I filled up in Packwood the first morning and then made it all the way through Section 2 to Ellensburg, and then a detour to Cle Elum and back before refueling in...

WA Back Country Discovery Route (BDR) - Recommendations

Yes, you can definitely do one of these sections as a day trip. Just start early and plan a highway route back to your starting point. For planning, most of the route speed is 10 - 20 mph. Definitely more fun with multiple vehicles and radios but running it solo might save you from sucking in...

First Edition Roof Rack / RTT - Will it fit?

200 miles off road with the FE roof rack and the Inspired Overland tent - both were extremely solid and handled the jarring trails like a champ. I took the tent off (via two cross-rails and four torx bolts) after the trail and I’ll keep the two remaining cross rails on top for ski racks etc...

WA Back Country Discovery Route (BDR) - Recommendations

Sure thing! Section 2 starts on a FSR just to the east of Packwood, WA. I met up with a buddy driving his 2022 4R TRD Off-Road (stock), and we headed north on the trail. I was using OnX and my buddy had GAIA, with trails downloaded offline. We also had a Starlink Mini (for setup at camp), and...

WA Back Country Discovery Route (BDR) - Recommendations

Just got back this afternoon after 2 days on section 2 & 3. The LC is a beast and handled everything effortlessly. 150 miles of dirt and I absolutely love this truck.
