I payed 2k all in. I think it was 1400 for the kit; 600 to install. Took them all day to install. Apparently, it’s not an easy process (old fabric is completely removed). This was just the basic Alia kit. You can get more specialized with inserts, different colors, etc. This is the least...
I decided to upgrade after owning for a couple months. Found 2 available manufacturers of upgrade kits. Alia leather Katskin. I went with Alia. Car stereo place installed it. Really like how it turned out. Looks OEM. Highly recommend
I’m an idiot. I kept looking for the TPWS under the entertainment screen menu for “vehicle customization” and it wasn’t there. But it It IS on the menu on the other screen (with gauges) buried in vehicle settings. Thank you much! Damn yellow light on my dash was driving me crazy
Agree. Love my 1958. Came with upgraded tires. I am getting Katskin leather seat covers added (2k). Other than that, I got tint and ceramic coat. Good to go. Have 2,000 miles on it at this point and loving it.
Are you determining that based upon the “miles to empty” number on your dash? Because that number is incorrect. There is a thread about how Toyota holds reserve gallons in the tank that don’t register on that figure and can throw off your mpg calculation
My understanding is that’s it’s not actually a reserve tank. It’s just that the reading on the dash says that there are 0 miles left when there’s still a remaining 2 gallons or so, which would equate to another 30 to 40 miles depending on your driving.
When I fill up the 1958, it says 305 miles remaining until empty. But when I fill up when it’s almost “empty,” I never get close to 18.9 gallons. Is there a reserve amount of gas remaining that Toyota doesn’t disclose on the “ lies to empty” figure on the dash, and if so does anyone have...
I have the same issue. It says 305 miles at fill up. If, in fact, Toyota is holding a significant reserve that is not calculated into the remaining mileage that is shown on the dash, it would be nice to know.
I had a similar experience with my new 1958. Drove five hours to the Mountains on Friday and five hours back on Sunday. I switched the driving setting to “economy” and it averaged a little over 21.8 miles a gallon on highway going 70 - 80 mph. My only complaint of the vehicle so far is that, as...
Yep probably so. But the power is pretty impressive for an LC. I had a 1997 with 6 cyl (sluggish) and a 2004 with 8 cyl. (better) but both were absolutely horrible on gas. I feel like 12 mpg was standard. Still great vehicles, and really liked them both for diff reasons. but maybe this newer one...
Love it already. Yes 1958 version. Had some reservations about 1958 “stripped down” version, but I was on waiting list since December and was more concerned with color than trim. After spending the afternoon traveling back home it, I have no regrets at all. It had upgraded tires which I liked...
