Fwiw I’ve seen a few videos on the gx where folks didn’t love those running boards. People said they were too thin and too short - didn’t extend far enough back toward rear wheel.
I’m holding out in hopes AMP makes some retractable ones OR EOD tells us his hack (taco auto running boards) works…
Anyone have a link to the plastic pry tool they used? I ordered a pack of Amazon but none of the tools were thin enough to get wedged in. I did try using the beveled end of the wheel remover but that slightly scratches the wheel so don’t want to use that. I even tried ordering suction cups...
Funny whenever I use the touchscreen and rest my hand on the ledge I think about how nice and soft that trim piece is.
I like how simple and clean the interior is. I know some think it looks cheap and plasticy but I prefer it.
I test drove an X5 when shopping for the LC and there were nice...
I owned my Audi for 10+ years and dealt with some major headaches. If this car lives up to the Toyota reliability we all know then I can see me owning this until it stops running!
I got ceramic heat rejecting tint on windshield at 70% (basically clear) and I haven’t noticed any change in clarity of hud. Not sure what it looks like if you go darker…
Im co
have you driven the new Lc? I’m coming from back to back Audis and this car is as quick as both of them. Not as nimble but power not an issue. I’m also averaging about 20-21 mpg at 1200 miles. Have seen many new gxs averaging 14-15, so I’m 50% better - to me that lives up to expectations.
Are you talking about just the square near the lights or the entire bumper? All trim levels have matte black bumper. Lc and fe trim have color matched “square” below lights. Think someone on here got them color matched already…
I have a meteor shower and am tempted by the gunmetal / titanium wheels I’ve seen out there. Want to see someone else do it first tho lol!
I’ve been searching hard for a Japanese made wheel that would look good on the LC, it’s been tough to find.
No I’m really pleased with it. I was coming from ~15 years of driving Audis so it took a little getting used to different drive type - more cruisey and truck like in LC vs sporty and nimble in the Audis. Almost a month in and I’m liking the car more and more. Very happy I choose the LC and not...
Just the Thule roof rack straps.. that was my first time putting it up there but since then whenever I strap up top I clip the hook side right into the hole of the roof rack which makes it a bit easier to strap in. Also very secure.

Anyone thought about these wheels for the new LC? Know they were used on heritage edition 200 series and I thought it looked really nice. Comes in black too. I have a meteor shower so torn on which would look better.
Glass was up, you can have it sit on the board as the board sticks out too much. I’ve also put boards on top and honestly the roof rack makes it super easy with the machined holes.
I’ve done it with surfboard in the back no problems. You can turn off the warning noise of the gate being open and it’s fine. Glass was pretty secure and didn’t move much. I drove about 3 miles from my house to beach.
