There are two tipes of SUVs. The tougher Body-on-Frame and the Unibody. The all wheel drive system is a different story. There are Body-On-Frame SUVs with very basic AWD systems and Unidody SUVs with a very performant AWD system. Please refer to a specific system/SUV regarding the thermal stress.

Looks like the only body-on-frame for 2+dog (what kind?) is the Wrangler Sport 2 Door. Everything else is big and expensive. As you probably know LC90, 120, 150 had a 2-Door version. In Australia they did not sell LC90 and LC120 2-Door.

On the 2024 Sequoia the hybrid system has 8 yrs 100 000 miles warranty. And the battery 10 yrs 150000 miles. Who knows what batteries will be available in 2034 ?

Based on many years of winter driving I would recommend one thing: narrow winter tires.:rolleyes: LC is on off-roader. If not interested why would you need a ladder frame, a solid rear axle and a low range gear? They mean extra weight and extra money.
