You are right, somebody measured the 1958.
Curb weight 5350 lbs. GVWR on the sticker 6725 lbs. It means 1375 lbs (623 kg) of payload. There is no doubt about.
But Toyota safely indicates on that standard sticker 1100 lbs (500 kg).
Did you see a sticker indicating something different than 1100...
In Canada they show a different curb weight 5357 pounds for the 1958, 5423 pounds for the Landcruiser..... but still a payload much higher than those 1100.

"That said, more gears might help the Land Cruiser make more of its 326 horsepower and overcome its prodigious mass. At 5,642 pounds, this First Edition is even heavier than both Lexus GX550 models we’ve tested despite lacking their more luxurious trimmings, air suspension, twin-turbo V-6...
For all trimis Toyota says 6000 lbs towing and min Curb Weight 5037.5 lbs vs 6725 lbs GVWR.
The top trims are heavier thus payload will decrease, but I do not understand the 1100 lbs payload sticker posted by an owner from Canada.
"The 2025 4Runner will be built in Toyota Motor Corporation’s Tahara plant in Japan and will arrive in the U.S. at the end of 2024. "

I do not want to trade my purely mechanical AWD for all the electronic traction control gadgets in the world. If I cannot get through with the right tires, in low range with both center and rear differential locked it means I took the wrong way .
User Manual Tundra:
"When using the rear differential lock system
Failure to observe the following precautions may result in an accident.
Do not lock the rear differential in the conditions other than above.
Do not lock the rear differential until the wheels have stopped spinning.
Do not drive...
Do you think the marketing guys of the competition do not care about such active forums? Toyota launching FOUR models in about the same time it's not fun for any competitor.
Another 0-60 test at min 20.00. Good video and I am so glad he stated that even over 60mph this car pulls. Wow. I was so much afraid you cannot pass other vehicles with only 326 HP.
I hope this will make you happier with the 2.4T hybrid. The workshop taking care of my Japanese cars has a huge experience with off-road and Toyota. The manager told me tto avoid from now on the modern Diesel engines . Because of the emission regulations and the electronics they are...
Nobody said this is "just a Prado". Prado was always an amazing car. Almost the same size with the big brother (or sister I am not sure....) almost the same reliability, less power but way more efficient, affordable and cheaper to run. LC250 is a continuation of the LC150 and for most markets is...
What oil do you use for 5K ? What is the oil and interval recommended by Toyota?
Regarding the 2.4T hybrid this is not about cost saving but about power and torque for US. 326 HP and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) is huge for the Landcruser Prado. In other markets the LC250 keeps the old 4cyl 2.8l engine...
Maybe it is not so bad and you can arrange those plastics until they get the parts.
And against the curse, use a ...... ball mount. People behind will be more careful.
The only thing I would pay for are the floor liners. But they should be provided free of charge by Toyota.... as they were on my Land Cruiser in 2007.
Still do not see how comparing the 2024 LC with my hybrid sedan or my full electric SUV will help anybody. Let's try to be on-topic because there are already 2187 threads and information is really hard to find.
This is a quote from motor1.com:
“[The motor] is fundamentally designed to really...
