While I certainly get buying the wrong vehicle & being unhappy with your purchase, life is just too short to not cut your losses & make a purchase you are happy with. Ultimate happiness wonāt come from a vehicle, but hopefully it will take you to places that afford the memories & experiences...
I have to agree, the person paying this kind of money for a Toyota does have a very different mindset from someone with similar budget for a āluxuryā brand. Itās just a different value system & way of thinking. I see it too in where one chooses to buy a home. My neighborhood you will pay more...
Thanks for sharing as I donāt follow the FB groups. I read through everything hoping to find some nuggets of insightā¦ but came up empty. Honestly 38 days, no matter how bad your first impression is of a vehicle, isnāt quite long enough to make a long term decision.
I havenāt experienced TSS &...
Cruiser curious here. Really want to compare it with the 25 4R & GX, if not also a Taco or Ranger. I havenāt engaged my local dealer yet though maybe that needs to be my next step. They donāt seem to get anything on the lot, but I at least need to sit in something to see how it fits, even if...
My Ford was subject to a similar ārecallā with an under hood sticker. I briefly toyed with the idea of booking it in with the dealer to have the recall performed, but I wasnāt sure theyād see nearly as much humor in it as I would. Unless they get to bill Ford an hour for doing it of course...
Looking forward to reading more about how the LC handles long road trips. Overall comfort, as you mention is excellent with seats & seating position, is my primary purchase consideration for my next car, as I hope to get on the road with some long trips again.
Looking forward to reading about your insights into the Land Cruiser as you go through your ownership experience. I do recognize and enjoy your YouTube channel, particularly the factory tours giving insight into how these things are produced.
If he saw it come with the car & didnāt provide it, isnāt he ordering you another? Or is he implying he sent you home with it & now he thinks youāve lost it?
I look forward to seeing more on the road around here, there seem to be many 1958s incoming. Full time 4WD is definitely a benefit here. Enjoy! Iām waiting to see the 4R as well since Iād be a limited/platinum buyer & should fairly evaluate that option too. Iām not at all opposed to the Taco...
With the subscription even? That starts to become an issue. If youāre paying monthly for services you, or at least I do, expect things to be right up to date.
This would be my hope as well. Iāve never experienced these new subscription cloud based navigation (I remember when the maps came on dvdsā¦). Iād expect the map as it exists would still be functional but without subscription I wouldnāt expect live traffic or up to date maps.
Great pics! Seeing one side by side with an FJ62 really proves which design they were channeling for the current one, at least to me. And definitely which design the square headlights came from, which I actually prefer.
Ah thanks, good to know it still works without the subscription even if not completely up to date. Iām pretty used to that, preferring to use the vehicleās built in navigation. Here I wondered if that wouldnāt work at all if you didnāt subscribe.
Good questions! & Iām not sure on most of them. I suspect though that youād have to have the memory seats in order to get the easy access system, since effectively itād have to remember where your seat position was to get it back. Not sure Iād trust either seat covering to stand up to dog...
https://www.theautopian.com/digital-rearview-mirrors-are-garbage-and-i-can-explain-why-with-science/
I think this was the article Iād read on them that tried to explain the whole focal point & distance thing & Iām not sure I understood it, having not seen one of these mirrors before. But at 49...
Thanks for the tip, makes sense. I may not want to pay for the goodies theyāre adding, but at least theyāre providing something for the ADM even if itās not stuff I value. The one ad Iād seen actually examining the pics & googling I think is High River. I may just throw the dog in the car &...
Ah that might make sense. The ads I see, for more than just the LC, will state that the dealer is licensed for example, but will never actually tell you which dealer it is. You can do some guessing & googling, but the vehicle listed on marketplace is never listed on the dealer website. Makes...
Any idea what theyāre using to justify the over list charges? Is it just straight ADM, or are they requiring you to buy extended warranty & tru coat & all that? Surprised today to see a nice WCP/Java LC Premium pop up in my marketplace feed. Asking $101K. Which surprised me at first until I...
Iām kind of looking at the Tundra situation & realizing that if there is an issue, and they all have issues nowadays, I can count on Toyota to stand behind their product. They seem to investigate failure, admit fault, & come up with a plan to make sure the customer is whole.

Has anybody tried anything like this in their car ever? I had no idea such a thing existed until one popped into my marketplace feed today & now it just seems like a good simple idea.
In Toyota land, is a subscription required? For Fords this is just part of the car. I donāt use the app often, but still, thereās nothing quite so cool as being able to control your car from your watch.
