If the ship is docking at Portbury with your vehicles in mid Nov I can’t believe you will collect from dealer 7 days later - our FE models arrived weeks later - might have been around 7 weeks before they were delivered to dealers and then there was more messing around
They are appalling
Skids and whilst it’s a lower cost item the missing FE rear clip up mat - they are treating UK buyers as fools - cheapening the spec and charging far more money
I am still pushing the skids but I don’t expect to get anywhere - dealer is pleasant but hopeless
Looks great
Those of you who have collected FEs
- did you get the boot mat that clips up to stop stuff falling out
- did you get a leather key cover
- does your vehicle have the brake controller on the right of the steering wheel like
mine doesn’t
Do you guys get the brake controller on the right of the steering wheel like the US models
My FE hasn’t got that - doesn’t make any difference but I was surprised it’s not there - same with tow bar prep at the rear which is missing
Have those of you that collected a UK FE had the boot clip up mat with the vehicle - mine was missing and my dealer is saying they received 3 LC FEs and all did nit have the mat in the vehicle - I do have the retractable parcel shelf just no clip up cover that drops over the bumper and clips up...
Covid was I’m sure far worse for many but yes it was difficult
So glad we were able to get Fred - wasn’t easy as his breeder was in N Wales and they closed the border - not good for stress levels !
So far so good with the FE - done a collection and two trips to take Fred and my wife to an area...
Fred is a Drakeshead dog - my second from that line - lovely home dog and a brilliant peg dog
I have driven 80 miles so far so hardly enough to form a firm view but I have parted with the same amount you all have so I start with a desire to feel I did the right thing
Would I have referred a...
Could someone ping me an image of the key case and the mat that goes in the boot and clips up to stop stuff falling out
I want to sent to the lemons at the dealership
Just had a nice run to take my dog for a play in the country - 70 mile round trip - all good - it’s. It as smooth as the 4.4 V8 in my Range Rover was but it can get a move on and has a reassuring noise and feel - almost an “honest” engine feel - and I knew it would be different
The tech will...
So far so good
Tyres look very road biased so they are a concern and as everybody has said the internal storage is very limited but my dogs box is now in and will take it for a nice trip tomorrow
Hoping the cool box try becomes available in the UK
Just collected mine
No key cover
Mats delayed
Trunk liner misplaced
Rear first edition Mat/viver that clips on the back missing
Honestly these people are complete amateurs - they also had the 3 rd row seats stucks on the parcel shelf - it’s amazing they can put a pair of trousers on without an...
Are the BFG KO3’s in the UK yet ? Seem to be still KO2
What size are you going with ? 265 70 18 (ie same as stock) or maybe 265 65 18 (to allow for the greater degree of nobbliness)
Sadly no NFU cover in London - spoke with then this afternoon
Interesting they could quote on this supposedly in rated vehicle a week ago or more - they seem a good insurer - pity I like in an area they can’t cover
Sorry old “lawyer mode” kicks in
I don’t care what the usual position is - the usual position assumes Toyota perform their obligations to time - here in the UK they did not and we have an insurance crisis
So……..
Normal positions are invalid and new norms apply
[but I can’t see them moving so...
This insurance situation is still not sorted
I have asked my dealer to sort a short period of cover with Toyota and I will transfer the money and collect Friday - I then either confirm the Toyota cover or move to another in the grace period they give - they close a sale and we all move on...
