    How does the hybrid

No, just the bar that shows the current fullness of the hybrid battery. The documentation incorrectly says that the graph is the 12V. The actual 12V battery gauge shows voltage. The hybrid battery gauge is unlabeled but is estimating watt hours.

We FINALLY made a PreCut Kit for the 250 Land Cruiser!

I'm interested in your system with deeper drawers. Adding 130lb of plywood for 4" deep drawers is a non-starter. Otherwise the design and quality looks good.

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

We are hopeful that the newest Toyota security, which we have, can't be cloned that way. The vehicle stolen here had a broken window. It seems that OBD access may still vulnerable. I think it's possible that Toyota Canada has someone on the inside helping with the thefts. It's likely that...

Powering camper while driving with 2400w inverter

You will end up running an extension cord. if you want to charge on the move. Charging before leaving in the am, with maybe a bit on arrival if needed, may be sufficient. Especially if your charger can produce the maximum safe C rate for your camper batteries. Or you also have solar. If you...

Dissent Off-Road Land Cruiser 250 Bumper Tease

The cut front end on the dissent vehicle sure is ugly. Who would buy an LC to do that as opposed to one of the solid axle vehicle choices? Or get an upcoming TRD 4Runner. Step one in a good build is to buy a vehicle appropriate for the goals.

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

The car may have been in transition. As a master thief, I'm training young guys to hack the cars and drop them at a predetermined locations. No way I'm connecting my fancy chop shop/ vehicle transport operation directly to the theft and the knucklehead doing the theft. Gig workers everywhere.

    2400 Watt Inverter

definently does sustain high output. Don't know about 2400W. But it charges my Bluetti at 900W and runs starlink without complaint Almost everyone is going to want to run an ecoflow type powerbank in front of the inverter. That type of device will run a 12V electric blanket all night. The...

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

Someone stealing by ODB hack is much more knowledge of fake ODB ports and ODB locks than we do. So unless you plan to locate the real ODB port in an inaccessible place I think the thief can easily follow the wires and connect. The question is how long the average car thief is willing to...

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

Plan A is to motivate the thief to choose another vehicle. Most people plan with trackers is for the police to confront the thief. Simple ignition kill switches are inexpensive to have installed, but locations are limited. Battery kill switches disable the alarm as well as app features.

The airtag will eventually alert a non-owner iphone of its presence and make a noise. But thats not for many hours. Realistically when the airtag works for recovery it is not days later. Also Android has a find airtag app. For short term use a gps tracker on the roof in a magnetic box might...

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

Great news, except for how the car was started. Well, so much for "nothing can be done" . The car likely would not have been targeted with a disclok on the stearing wheel. A simple airtag would have likely worked to locate the vehicle. Without further info, I'm going with the assumption that...

    2400W Power Inverter

I didn't watch the video, but there is little reason to bother solar charging with a 2400W inverter in the vehicle. There was more reason to possibly use solar with the older Toyota inverters at 400W

    Toyota Dealership Foolery

They will do tire rotation and various checks at 5K for free. I just did the 5K and paid $79 for an oil change. Life is too short to pay $60K+ for a vehicle no one needs and worry about paying for a couple of oil changes. If Toyota did "five free oil changes in the first 24 months" the...

    Land Cruisers are easily stolen.

It's very easy to tow a vehicle with the right equipment. But there is risk for a thief to drive around in that equipment, especially at night. The key to all types of burglary is deterrence. A rational thief wants the easiest and lowest risk target. The best deterence for a sophisticated...

    20 inch wheels to 18

Maybe, its been a few months since I shopped wheels and tires. Both the 20" "upgrade" rims and the 1958 wheels had limited tire choices, from what I recall. Based on lack of inventory for 17" rims that fit the LC, a lot of people are replacing Toyotas weak LC choices. I'm not comfortable...

It all boils down to range anxiety.

    Disable auto start stop?

You should have purchased the V6 Lexus. Avoiding not only the start/stop, but also the complexity of the hybrid system, is a rational choice. I no longer notice the start/stop after 5000 miles

    20 inch wheels to 18

$3000 for everything. The cheapest rims are the 1958 takeoffs, which are 7.5" wide. That width is probably fine for 265 wide tires. If doing replacements it's best to do the tires and rims you really want. There's not a lot of price difference between the cheapest and the higher end stuff.

Ugh. Got a Battery Cooling Fan Maintenance warning….⛔️

Neither vent opening was blocked by cargo? Probably worth not cleaning the filter yourself and getting the system checked. Unless you driving with the windows down in very dirty air, 5000 miles seems way too soon.

    18’’ or 20’’ for winter?

If buying wheels do 17". Less than 20" is better for pot holes. The only reason Toyota is putting 20" wheels is for look some people like. Smaller rims use tires that air down better. Until brakes got bigger a LC type vehicle had 15" wheels.

    Plug In Hybrid Conversion

The watts needed to do that would seem to exceed the best possible C rating of the battery pack. I've seen 50 horsepower quoted for the electric motor and I don't get that spec either. 5kw is about 7 horsepower. Can the 1.8kwh battery pack do more than 5kw?
