Agreed. Looks a little too "Robocop'ish" to me. I'll be interested to see pricing (8 months from now), but I think if anything, this has me leaning even further towards the LC. I can see younger guys liking this look better though. Definitely more of a sport truck.
Yeah, watched that. Harry Potter meets Land Cruiser. Pretty Lame review.
Nice to finally see some people actually DRIVING it though. I wonder if they'll be having (or have already had) and event like this for North American aito journalists. Hoping to see those soon!
I run a design/build/reno business. My wife is an Interior Designer. We are very big on designing interiors that won't go out of style or look dated in a few years. The LC has that in spades - more than the GX even, IMO.
I like the interior as well. I like the whole thing, really. Almost bought one until I heard the LC was coming out. That said, I was hoping for something a bit different for the 4Runner now that the Tacoma is essentially a mini version of the Tundra and Sequoia. I really like the timeless...
I am still interested in the 4Runner, but TRD John is saying the interior looks likely to be a carbon copy of the Tacoma, which is a bit disappointing IMO.
Also, why the hell do people need a TV on the dashboard??
Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere. If so, please let me know and I'll delete.
This is a UK version with diesel engine and third row, but very informative (and promising) nonetheless:
Considering we just found out the fuel economy numbers, and to my knowledge not a single North American automotive journalist has reported as having driven the LC yet, I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess NO.
282 could also mean Feb 28. I personally think that's more likely than October.
But maybe I've just become used to being pessimistic about Toyota truck arrival dates. If ya know what I mean.
Looks like you need to get premium for leather and JBL. I will likely just upgrade the stereo afterwards. Too may things come with the premium that I don't want to pay the extra $6k for.
I was talking to my dealer rep a few days ago, and he mentioned the rumour circulating is that the LC may only be available for a year or 2, then will be discontinued in favour of the 4Runner (and Sequoia). While that sounds a bit bizarre, it would certainly explain the confusion around where...
Yeah, I'd assumed that. They make great vehicles, but this whole waiting-to-buy process is getting a little annoying. I've heard diddly from my dealer - probably because that's what they've heard as well.
 I registered for updates as soon as the press release came out back in July or August. I've not received a single update since. I get all my info here.
My dealer configurator just outside Calgary. Looks like Toyota probably hosts this for all dealers. Not sure if I totally trust it - shows leather seats as a standalone option, which would be friggin' awesome IMO. Then just need a stereo upgrade, and done...
My wife's Audi Allroad has a 2.4 litre turbo engine that calls for Premium. When travelling, we've had to use regular (and I've put in regular in her car occasionally by mistake as a force of habit). I've never noticed the slightest difference from Premium aside from the cost. Kinda makes you...
