I think the main issue with the focus on MPG for this vehicle is the association of Hybrid with efficiency ala Prius.
That is further compounded by the stated MPG which can be achieved but I assume many may be unfamiliar with turbos and how it directly impacts fuel consumption.

At 16 I inherited my dad’s pristine 87 Rx7 Savanna. I totaled that my first week driving it. (In a tropical monsoon storm no less!)
I then drove my mom’s Volvo (was only allowed to drive it to part time job…)
The first car I bought with my own hard earned cash at 18 was a used 94 Integra. As a...
Interesting. We came back from a 2 week trip and I was actually wondering if the LC would even start. Started up no issues thankfully. My Subaru would already be dead by day 5 (battery drain that I never could find). I do agree that the optima batteries are top notch and are my replacements of...
Stateside I find Mattel has had lackluster options since the late 90s. Hence why I usually have better luck with Tomica, they have multiple different lines from classic to modern and for Japanese, European and American
Mount Charleston should be getting some in a couple weeks. Also Utah is just a few hours drive and has the best snow in the world (I have shredded snow around the world, the only snow that comes close is Tromso in Norway and Hokkaido Japan)
Based on the VIN, It’s from the network shuttle factory 😂. Though I much prefer Tomica factory, this will do for now! I always get 1:64 scale models of my cars, anyone else?
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully insurance resolves the issue swiftly.
Any car is easily stolen.
I blame Hollywood for Romanticizing “hot wiring” as the predominant method to steal a vehicle.
The easiest and fastest is to just tow it away. Renders alarms, kill switch, LoJack, those stupid...
The satisfaction with this vehicle will vary widely from person to person based on their unique past vehicle portfolio.
Value: I drove a Rivian R1S for a week and those go for 100k. I think the LC is worth the $65k compared to the Rivian. More importantly, it’s 4th quarter 2024, your dollar...
“I would rather get a Bronco because the LC is too expensive to scratch up, but at the same time would rather get the previous generation with the luxurious 5.7L V8 that also happened to retail for $30k more 5 years ago.”
Feels like I’m looking in a mirror reading this thread.
I’m leaning towards the Ecoflo glacier myself because of the battery combod with the door orientation. Already have a 40l yeti but the appeal of having a portable fridge definitely has me contemplating. I would like examine one in person...
Don’t most people watch reviews “after” the fact for self affirmation anyway? 🤣
I do enjoy watching the guys at SG. Mostly for entertainment (since I found the care care nut) but they do on occasion bring up key points that I could have overlooked.
They emphasized the price a couple times but...
As others have already responded. Best way to describe it is it’s similar in malleability to the putty you would play with in arts and crafts but with a tackiness of sticky tack.
Does a good job picking up embedded dirt that doesn’t come off with a wash. You would polish the clear coat after...
I have a monthly subscription to a touch-less car wash for $25 that is worth every penny because of the time saved.
The weekend car gets an annual hand wash, clay bar, ceramic coat that is almost a whole day affair and it’s a coupe. I would hate to find out how long it would take to do the LC...
Did mine at 1250. Very easy and clean process despite having the filter on the underside thanks to great design.
I did not care to send out break in oil for evaluation as nothing stood out to me. Maybe will consider after 30,000.
Just did mine today at a little past 1250mi. I don’t usually enjoy changing oil filters when they are on the underside, but the layout and design are very well thought out.
The break in oil was unremarkable to me but I’m used to driving Turbo vehicles. I used Kirkland Signature 0W20 because...
Glad to be in the jungle, at least I know the LC will get me out! 🍻
Not too much outside of Eagle Valley and further up North close to Wheeler Pass. I will say that between Pioche and Wheeler is probably my favourite part of Nevada.
Thanks! Glad to see another fellow Sin City forum member! I...
Howdy folks,
Have owned my 2024 Land Cruiser LC since July. Still working on the break in process and under 1k miles. Been lurking on the forum since I drove it off the lot. Found the wealth of information here to be invaluable and seems like a great community so I look forward to being a part...
