I think I read somewhere that Mobil 1 Hybrid oil has additives meant to address whatever issues are created with frequent engine starts and stops while driving.
I noticed that also. Apart from having to do the drilling, is there a potential rust issue unless the drilled area is then primed and painted? Or is the "inner hood" made of aluminum?
Also, Redline's Quick Lift Plus hardware is not stainless, but zinc plated steel that is powder coated. It's...
Jeep Wrangler 4Xe hybrid battery periodically recharges the 12V battery to compensate for drain. This helps in a long term storage situation without a trickle charger in use.
Does the LC work the same way?
Under both front wheels? Or both on one side?
I see ramps available with about a 2.5” rise, and others with about 6” rise. Not sure the 2.5” would do much, but I guess they would minimize retained oil caused by the tilt.
@EOD Guy since you leave the hose connected full-time, did you cut it shorter than the supplied 3-foot length? Seems like a lot of hose to tuck in somewhere.
And, I guess you found a way to keep the hose secure (where?) without contacting anything hot or moving - or do you just have it sitting...
I haven't changed my own oil in decades, but with all of the guidance provided here I'm now thinking about it for my LC.
Planning on using the Fumoto F133N with hose (if I can get the dealer to put the Fumoto on during one of my 2 "free" changes) and this pan/container...
Isn’t “tagging” just typing the each symbol, @, then start typing the screen name and selecting it from the pop up if the person has posted in the same thread. If the person hasn’t yet posted in the thread, just complete typing the screen name.
What is the reason for removing the speaker from an AirTag before hiding it in a vehicle? If the vehicle is stolen, does the owner using Find My automatically turn on the sound tone?
A theft of a new Land Cruiser is terrible, as everyone has said.
After reading in this thread that it is preferable to lock the LC using the inside button on the door to avoid the key fob signal transmitting a lock/unlock code, I am wondering whether hitting the lock button on the outside door...
@DKing I just read another thread that said the plug cover is easily removed by squeezing the cover with needle nose pliers so that the tiny catch releases and the cover slides right off.
I’m guessing that the OP is referring to the up/down adjustment buttons that stick out just below the illuminated buttons. Those are not illuminated, right?
Mine does the same - 1 mph less than set - but only sometimes. It may be related to whether vehicle is on a slight upward incline, but not sure yet. Most of the time on level road it is on target.
I believe the LC-FE comes with a one-year trial subscription of "Drive Connect" (which I think includes navigation) and "Remote Connect with Digital Key". Also comes with a ten-year subscription of "Safety Connect" and "Service Connect". These were set up with the sales person at delivery...
I found that the shipping fee from the forum seller was almost twice the cost of the item, so I declined. This is a lightweight item and it would have been shipped about 400 miles.
I can confirm that the carabiner trick works to turn of the dome light and the FE hatch lights. I didn't check whether it has any effect on any passenger door lights.
I used one about 1 inch wide and 2 and 1/2 inches long.
I am hearing from dealer parts dept. that the single FE rack crossbar (PT970-60241-CB) is on backorder. Does anyone know if it is actually available anywhere for immediate shipment?
I do see it listed on several online sites, but am wondering if placing an order would just lead to a...
Is it correct that this additional single crossbar can only be installed in one specific spot towards the rear of the FE rack? I see some seemingly available bolts at that one spot.
For the rock rail bolts, I know for certain that the correct OEM bolt is M10-1.25. I believe (but am not 100% certain) that the correct length is either 25 mm or 30 mm.
I would never use zinc coated steel for this outdoor low-to-the-ground application - only stainless steel. And, I understand...
