I agree….Tundra Front end is fairly ugly IMO. Same goes for new 4R front with double moustache….. I’ve sat in the new Tundra….didnt like the feel and view and as you said maneuvering and parking would be somewhat challenging. I cannot compare to LC yet as none are available in Canada yet...
Those guys are in Canada! Awesome. looks like good products. Since we don't have LC's in customers hands in Canada yet .... likely explains why we'll have to wait for these accessories....
I thought the "performance related specs" for the hybrid Taco and hybrid 4R are the exact same as the LC (ie. 326hp, 465 ft/lbs torque, 6000lbs towing etc)??
How do you like (or not) the running boards? Was hoping there would be an option to have automatic folding running boards like the new Taco limited and possible new 4R.
Hey, I’m willing to cut you some slack…given it’s only your 2nd post and that many of the things you mentioned….several folks on here (myself included) have already griped and whined about some of these things months ago and now they are buried deep in different threads.
And btw, welcome to...
I've certainly considered the diesels on the GM/Chevy SUV twins. Better tow capacity, bigger cargo area, longer range etc. They are also quite pricey even compared to an LC. The LZO engine will be a step improvement for sure. I've been around diesels for awhile on the Ag industry side so...
I agree. Yeah, you're probably right about the battery. The whole hybrid battery seems was a bit of compromise as far as cargo size and likely fuel tank size.
Internationally current LC Prado (very similar vehicle) specs as quoted:
"The Toyota Prado has always been available with dual fuel tanks; the current model has a combined capacity of 150 litres (via an 86-litre main tank and a 63-litre sub-tank), while the previous generation could carry 180...
Another question, does LC have acoustic glass (doors etc)? I seem to remember TRD Jon video saying there was no acoustic glass but some others have said the opposite??
Dimensional specs are quite lacking or unreliable as pointed out on here and by some of the auto journalists in their reviews. How much longer do we have to wait for the official Toyota specs? ....a bit frustrating. I have owned a 2016 and 2018 RAV4...there's no way the LC should be smaller...
Grand Highlander Max is at 5.6s on 0-60. A little less weight and a bit more hp with 2 electric motors. I would have thought/hoped LC would land between 6-7s.
JBL “premium” system in my previous RAV4 hybrid limited was underwhelming to say the least. The Bose systems in my CRVs are much better. Glad to hear the LC system is really good. A Good sound system is fairly important to me.
Well….its a personal thing and in some ways it’s similar reasoning for not wanting to pay over MSRP. Anyone considering the LC can “afford” whatever the ADM fees are but some are wired differently and brought up to want to get the most value for their hard earned dollar.
There’s been a few initial reports in different threads and they appeared fairly low. Hopefully more out there soon. What’s your general mix of city/highway/offroad?
Just wondering why power running boards are not offered on the LC when they are standard on the Tacoma Limited and 4R limited/platinum trims. I’d prefer these than the fixed running boards. Hopefully some 3rd party will make these available to purchase.
the same thoughts & vibes here. I visited ih8mud forum a few times the last month or so but as Teebo said many discussions on the new LC are toxic and negative. It gets old and boring in a hurry.
