One point worth bearing in mind if calling Toyota GB - I found that the very helpful lady could not trace my order but she was WFH and when asking a colleague in the office to check for her they found it !!
You have to do what feels right for you - I was messed around by JLR and cancelled a new RR order before ordering the LC - itโs not easy to achieve that new car excitement when ordering ahead of time rather than buying a physical car in a show room and driving it out - the motor manufacturers...
Toyota GB not able to match my order No to their records so say they will speak with dealer and come back to me - not great
They also are escalating the insurance issue
Have any of you got insurers that have confirmed they will insure the 2024 Landcruiser 250 FE ? My checks with both Admiral...
On your question about the order book Ringrring I understand the UK dealers are waiting to be told they can take orders again - I have a mate who has given an expression of interest to his local dealer and is expecting to be added when the book reopens
Those of us with vehicles in transit...
Thank you for posting the Tno of Toyota GB - will try them on Monday / my dealer is lovely but does not appear to have as much info on this process as I do through this forum - they really do seem to be operating like a modern shoe store with people employed to bring boxes from store for you to...
Quick geeky question - looking at a few YouTube reviews of UK/EU models not US - am I right the volume button is not on the side of the central screen behind the wheel
That seems to be a location that annoys or American friends
Seems to be moved to the button array that deals with seat and...
You are right
โAn electrified version that combines the same 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine with 48V mild hybrid technology will be available in early 2025.โ [Toyota GB]
So not the same power plant they have released in the US - I rather expected them to limit the number of engines being...
You are the only one posting - maybe others have dropped in to take a look - I really have no visibility about the order numbers - we calculated that there were maybe 250-300 LC FEs coming to the UK in 2024 but as I had understood it the Invincible was unlimited in production and the only issue...
No App update so far and last time I looked at the other website it was still saying in transit from Factory - I suppose it will update in time but it has been a rather poor App - if it wasn't for you chaps on here and Marine Tracker we would have missed the experience of following it to the UK...
Looks like the Bishu Highway is about to Dock - Marin Traffic shows it in the Bristol Channel just off the coast
I spoke to my dealer - nice guy but not very informed - he is seeing a collection date of mid October and said he would follow up with Toyota GB on the insurance situation
mine says โmid Octโ with zero precision on actual date and so I have made him aware others have greater specificity and pressed for greater clarity
Seems like the vehicles are unloaded and taken to some location in the midlands for checks before they are delivered to the dealers which may explain the long delays between arrival at Bristol and arriving at the dealers
I have Toyota Insurance checking the position on cover - once itโs...
Saw a report that the sailing time to Bristol is around 5 days so if the vessel leaves tonight they could be unloading Mon/Tue next week - then presumably they leave them parked up at Portbury for longer than the entire journey time from Japan ๐๐๐ to ensure we get the vehicles in late October
My dealer is saying โmid-Octoberโ is showing on the system
He is also at least in the initial response out of touch on UK insurance - as one of you highlighted even the Toyota Insurance system is incapable of providing quotes on the 2024 LC 250 because itโs not listed on their online pick list...
And via the Marine Traffic App I see the Bishu Highway is docked in Sagunto and there is a Toyota importation place right there
It will be interesting to see what the AIS says about its next destination when it leaves port - will it sail round to another Northern European port or sail direct...
We are at least on Page 13 of this string and seem to have developed it into the UK LCS BUYERS place to share info - via this I know far more than via the dealer ๐
Mine has not been in contact since early August - no update now the system shows good info which is disappointing but I guess he will kick into gear at some point
Then what - does it head round Spain and across to the UK to Bristol as the App has it docking at Royal Portbury
Maybe with an intermediate stop at Zeebruggen or Rotterdam
Have any of you UK buyers addressed insurance yet?
I am with Admiral and checked yesterday and whilst they have insured older LCs they currently do not have the 250 on their systems and Iโm told canโt offer cover on it unless and until it is listed
I have asked them to escalate to...
