I run 87, getting ~23 mpg. If you’re running somewhat aggressive tires in a larger size than stock… that’s your 4-5 mpg less right there. Probably would only be 2-3 mpg less if it was a 6 cylinder, but it’s not.
Can you guys in the UK actually order a vehicle? I’ve never heard of anyone ordering any Toyota. The best we can do in the states is put a deposit, let the dealer know what we want, when the dealer receives an allocation they can put your name on it and attempt to configure it as close to what...
Plastidip comes in a spray can like spray paint and is used in a similar manner. Available in a few different colors that I know of. If you take your time it can come out great and withstand many many car washes. I have blacked out Toyota emblems on my 4 runner and it basically lasted until I...
You don’t need multiple trailer balls if you have only one trailer to pull. The ball needs to match the tongue on the trailer. 2” ball is one of the more common sizes.
Look to the left of your receiver hitch, there are two locations for the lights to plug into. If the trailer lights don’t plug...
Towing my pearl snowmobile to the transfer station. It’s got a blown head gasket and the two bolts on the thermostat are rusted right into the head. Not worth the hassle for a ‘91.
Toyota generally keeps information sealed until they have a reveal type of press release. When they do reveal if anything is new about the ‘25’s… there will be a lot of buzzing about it on the forum.
Tahara premie. Thought I heard on a YouTube video that overall more will be built by hino than tahara. Also heard that Toyota was ending their affiliation with hino???
All of my 4Runners took some time before engaging the first few times I tried. Honestly, a-trac and MTS in most situations are just as if not more effective than rear differential lock in my experience.
They struggled in the mud but obviously they are not a mud terrain tire. If not for the technologically advanced 4wd system of the lc, they would have been stuck. They’ll be okay for the type of off roading I’ll do in a $70k vehicle, and they provide good road manners. To be honest the majority...
The Dunlops surprisingly have a fairly soft compound and it wouldn’t surprise me if they do okay on winter roads. Like any other all season or all terrain tire they will fall short of a dedicated winter tire such as Michelin ice or blizzak. These studless dedicated winter tires are phenomenal.
The 3-5th gen 4r’s I had all had a matching full size spare tire. The rim, however did not match, it was a steelie, whereas the 4th gen had matching rim and tire as does the 2024 Land Cruiser.
Allow me to further rub it in. I passed on a meteor while waiting for my allocation of a WCP. But yeah if you can wait for it, wait for it. When a dealership is allocated a certain trim, one of the configurations they can change is the color.
For those that aren’t familiar with 4wd vehicles, I personally don’t engage 4wd when tires are in the process of spinning or when you are heavy on the gas pedal. If tires are spinning I’ll just stop and engage. When rolling along and I feel the need to engage(snow/mud) I let off the pedal then...
