    Topside Oil Changes....

For several decades, I owned VW TDI's (diesels) and used a Mityvac for topside oil changes (Same for our boat) with no issues. I was thinking of reviving this practice for the LC. Any thoughts positive or negative (other than the "Can't get all the oil out")? I plan to do 5K oil changes. TIA

LOOKING AT LC 1958 THIS WEEKEND

I bought a 58 in June have 5K on it now. I have no regrets about the cloth seats. They seem extremely durable. I absolutely love driving this rig. With that said, I am meeting with a Lexus Dealer tomorrow about purchasing a GX 550 OT+ and giving the 58 to my son. Now that I am an old man, I...

    Extended Warranty

There was a Jeep Dealer in the Midwest (I am East Cost) that sold CDJR Extended Warranties for just above cost ~ $1,600 back about 10 years ago. Many on the Jeep Forums went to him. I wonder if this Bristol dealer would do the same and sell to any LC owners?

    Side body moldings

I put them on mine the first week I purchased. Even though I fanatically park far from everything, it has saved me from a scrape already - I also added the predator step rail for my partially disabled daughter to climb in. Both work well in terms of protection and both are easily, very easily...

Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

yes, This one, but what's interesting I that it no longer shows up on Amazon and when i click this link for my purchase, it takes me to the incorrect one that I had previously ordered and returned (that fit the GX460 and older LC's) So I don't know if this was the last one they had.

Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

I received the new GX550/‘24LC retractable cargo cover today. I like it. It fits perfectly. I noticed there’s no front flap that attaches to the rear of the seats, but consider only paid about $160 for this. I like it and it does the job.

how to disable back up sensor

turn off 3 items: Intuitive Parking Assist in the DID, Rear Cross Traffic alert in the DID, and then Rear Parking Assist which is the button near the fuel door release button, left of steering wheel. When all three of these are off, you’ll have no alerts. You’ll have no sudden breaking stops...

    Help with OBD scanner?

Coming from CDJR Jeep, I've been using a device named "OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth Scanner" paired to android phone to do modifications (it pairs to Iphone, but allows less modifications) in CDJR. Recently I hooked up OBDLink to my 58 but didn't see any menu options to change chimes, key functions...

FIRST EDITION FIT THULE ASCENT “ROCKET BOX”?????😎

I looked at my 58 rack (same as the one on the FE) and checked against my Thule roof box and my Yakima Mega Warrior cargo basket. Both have the locking clamp feet that fit onto this rack's ledger style bars (right term?)

    2024 landcruiser 1958 sold

I agree with you. I'm keeping my 58 until next year and then rethinking the 25 4runner or a Land Cruiser. I had been thinking of a GX550, but was just watching consumer reports first run - A lot of what they said echoes with me. the 3rd row is a waste, 2nd row really only seats 2 adults...

Yes, you are correct 1958. I bought it and really like it but will likely sell it next year (or give it to my son) and get either the 2025 LC or the 2025 GX550 Overtrail. I also want to look t the 2025 4Runner.

Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

I just checked. This is the mfgrs statement: "The cargo cover comes in two size options - 57.9 inches for 2010-2023 GX GX460 and 61 inches for 2024 Land Cruiser GX550, allowing customers to select the right fit for their vehicle." The first one I bought was the 57.9". Returned it and...

I'm aware many are coming from V8's and V6's with much more power. I'm not. I drove VW 4-cyl 5-spd TDI Diesels for 20 years of my working career ~110 mile R/T commute, before I stepped up and bought a Grand Cherokee Eco-Diesel in 2016. What I can say about the 4-cyl diesels, is that no matter...

Yes. If you go into the DID (Driver Information Display), scroll to the gear "settings" and select fuel economy and in there you can change the setting to something that you can reset at will, or a reading that will reset at every fill-up, providing current tank fuel economy. This of course...

Question for Owners: Is a Retractable Luggage (Cargo) Cover standard on the 2024 Land Cruiser?

I really struggled to get it all the way back and it was really ,really tight with about an inch to go and it felt like I was going to damage it. Also, I could not get each side into the curved wall grooves, one side kept popping out as the width of the LC was a bit narrower than the cover. I...
