The 4Runner already offers a non-hybrid option, a turbo 4cyl, same as the Tacoma.

The only powertrain available is a turbo 4cyl hybrid. I agree that you cannot get a non-hybrid if that’s what you mean. But you aren’t getting a v6 4Runner option.

The 4Runner will have the same powertrain options as the Tacoma: 4 cyl turbo and 4 cyl turbo hybrid.

They are indeed far closer in price than I would have ever initially expected …

I ended up with a Tundra but did still get an oil change at just over 1,000 miles; dealership tech said it looked brand new (which isn’t a sure thing on the Tundra right now 😅)

Toyota just doesn’t offer you an ‘order what you want and then we’ll build it’ approach. You could customize any ‘domestic’ half ton truck a zillion ways, for example. Not Toyota. It’s better for their supply chain optimization to do things their way, no doubt, and all Toyota customers are sort...

This LC - supposed to arrive early June - has still never arrived the dealership. I moved on (and bought a Tundra) but still check frequently to see if this thing ever showed up … and still no. Two months delayed.

When I took delivery they had an in-house specialist for these things and she went through the vehicle thoroughly and helped setup connected services, radio favorites, everything. Must vary by dealer.

The LC I was waiting on still has not arrived. About 6 weeks late so far.

Loving the Tundra so far. Have used the bed over and over already. Hauled some new plants for the yard yesterday. And a gas can; always hated putting those inside a car. Quite nice to have a truck again.

It should disappear. This seems to be a resultant code from something they do to the LC when transporting it on a semi.

That’s Toyota going back to their roots! I actually don’t mind that element, and kind of like it actually, but the overall styling is ‘youthful’ for sure.

My impression has been that the QC delays smashed a hole in a lot of dealerships’ plans to command a markup. Now more are arriving at once (QC hold released and post-hold manufacturing) and supply is >= demand.
