I just entered my FE VIN on the Toyota site under my account. Says there are no recalls. And, still shows it as “May be in transit” with arrival late May mid June. HOWEVER, my dealer told me today that it has been put on the QC delay. What gives Toyota?????????
Sorry that happened. NO excuse for that. If we find a lot of this sort of thing (I have a FE ordered that is now on QC hold at Portland after sitting there for 6 weeks) it is going to remind me of my Tesla Model Y when I got it in 2022. Tons of things wrong with it in terms of fit and finish...
If they have a shortage of mechanics to install skid plates and dashcams, I bet a bunch of us have socket sets and tape measures. Let’s head to Portland and get this thing movin!!!!
Have you seen my post of the White LC in the Midwest that you can lock down at MSRP? I am buying a Meteor Shower FE from the same dealer and I told them I would post it. I get no financial gain from this.
It’s not too late to start walking. Mine was supposed to come early May. Now, late June. I expect to see it by August, at the latest. All we can do is hope.
Mine has been at Portland since April 6th (Seven Seas Highway). At least that is how I read the vessel search web site. Our regional Toyota rep says they are having trouble getting enough help to do all of the PIO stuff. Oh well.
Does anyone know if the FE Roof Rack has crossbars that can be slid for and aft? I am wondering if my Thule roof box will be able to clamp on to the crossbars on my soon to arrive LC FE? Thanks!!
It really does appear that Toyota is experiencing supply issues when these vehicles reach the USA. It’s not a smooth assembly line where skid plates, dash cams, roof racks, and more are quickly and expertly added to the build. Oh well, the main parts of the LC are made in Japan. That’s good...
I just noticed a vehicle I’ve been watching for about three weeks was moved from “vehicle may be in transit to “vehicle is in the build stage contact Dealer for availability date”. So, is vehicle is actually going backwards in terms of where it is in production and how soon it could be ready...
Is this post drawing no interest due to the Wind Chill Pearl color? I thought someone wanting an LC trim, sooner than later would jump on this. No worries. Just trying to spread the love around!!
Greetings friends, if you are seriously interested in a Land Cruiser Trim, Wind Chill Pearl (premium paint), Black Softex, 20” Alloy Wheels, Moon Roof, Door Edge Trim, Illuminated Door Sills, and the Connected Services Extension, Roof Cross Bars, Charging Cable Package, and All-Weather Cargo...
Every owner of a car dealership that I have ever known, has owned their own airplane. From single engine to Gulfstream jets, these guys make a lot of dough. Elon Musk tried to change that system with his online ordering model. But, clearly, Tesla (Musk) still makes a ton of money. It just...
I had a 1999 Land Cruiser for 15 years and the moon roof always worked perfectly and Never leaked. Don’t fear the moonroof. Don’t buy the Land Rover!!!
If a mechanic doesn’t know how to install a bolt without “buggering up the threads” as my grandfather used to say, I’d find another dealership. Or, pull the skid plate before bringing it in.
