It’s possible transmission updates could fix the issue. The transmission could be slipping the torq converter and clutches more than needed. When Toyota gets the info then they can create fixes.
If the radio is on long enough the battery could run out. This would take a quite bit of time to do. I’m pretty sure the hybrid system isn’t active in ACC mode. The hybrid system does charge the 12V battery.
The AC 120v will only work when vehicle is on/running. The AC 120v will come from hybrid battery since it’s 2400 watt. The radio power will come from the 12v battery.
That’s a bummer. I’m not worried about replacing mine unless it’s a lamination spot that gets worse. If it gets worse it needs to be noted. It could be a stubborn stain.
I was cleaning my windshield (outside) and noticed a spot. I’ve tried to clean the spot with windshield cleaner, isopropyl alcohol and carb cleaner. I did the inside as well. The spot is barely noticeable on the inside. I guess the next time I go to dealer I’ll have to have them check it out. I...
Y’all gonna stick with Toyota oil or use a different oil. I’ve read penzoil ultra platinum is supposed to be really good. With the engine having a turbo I’m curious about different oils.
I decided to give the Turtle wax Flex wax a try. It was a bit different from another spray wax I’ve used. The wax had to be wiped off like a traditional liquid wax. I’ll have to wait and see how it lasts.
You will definitely need some better skid plates. Dissent off road takes their 1958 through tough trails. They haven’t damaged anything but it is customized. If the right gear is added the vehicle should be ok.
Since they are steps they will bolt to the body. The frame won’t be used. There will most likely be bolts on the body that have to be removed. These bolts are just to seal the hole basically.
I saw and read their post. It was their own opinion about the vehicle. I think the vehicle is great. The vehicle just came out so Toyota will collect data to update the vehicle.
These engines have been out for 3 years. I haven’t read of any common problems with them. The noise disappears when at operating temperature. A critical malfunctioning engine noise won’t go away when at operating temperature.
What does the temp gauge show. Mine has never shutdown until it’s warmed up. These engines has a recirculating valve in place of a thermostat to allow faster warm up.
There are certain parameters that must be met before engine turns off. The engine is probably warm enough to shut down. The AC compressor is most likely 12V. The hybrid system keeps the 12v battery charged.
