Yes. But it’s a nuisance and costly. A friend of mine did it with a Land Rover special edition, and I’ve imported a trailer which is slightly easier.
Talked to my dealer this week. They are planning for a July launch for the Land Cruiser in Canada. I’ve already seen a GX550 at the attached Lexus dealership.
Seat covers. Good waterproof ones that are made for over landing. I had a set on my Land Rover Discovery II (leather underneath), and on my Jeep Wrangler (fabric). Had them on for years, liked sitting on them, took them off and the seats were perfect.
Well, I ordered a Prius Prime too! LOL.
Even longer waiting list, but eventually I’ll use that for commuting on EV and enjoy the Land Cruiser on the weekends guilt-free!
I'm in Ontario. Word from the dealer is that they are holding all the LC's in Toronto until they have all dealers' allocations. (The word used was actually 'hiding'.)
Right now they're thinking a June arrival of the first batch.
Getting closer!
Back roads exploration in Southern Ontario farm country. Some gravel, some paved. Sometimes hauling heavy eBikes on the hitch mounted carrier.
Winter get through anything duty (though we haven't had what Canadians would call a severe winter in several years in SW Ontario.)
Will probably run...
Depends on the weather where you are and what your end goal is.
If you are going to want a lift and big tires, no need to change anything now. If you're going to go with '35's, no OEM wheel will be ideal because you'll want to adjust the offset.
If you have winter weather where you are...
Meteor Shower/Brown Sugar Metallic has a hint of beige in it which is more or less prominent depending on light.
The overseas shots of the “silver” colour seem to be a more neutral silver. To me anyway.
They’ve been addicted/committed to lean for a very long time. They view it as core to their success. But lean manufacturing is highly intolerant of disruption, and we’ve had constant disruptions since 2019. Seems they just keep expecting to “go back to normal” so lean becomes an advantage again.
Pandemic supply chain issues changed everything. Hasn’t been consistent inventory over the last few years so test driving isn’t always an option.
That said, all the vehicles I’ve ordered without testing have been so sought after dealers had no concerns about selling them if I passed, so...
Not sure about that. Talked to the Manager at my dealer (large one) yesterday. He’s not confident we’ll see any 4Runners before the end of the year. Toyota’s planning on it, but he said he wouldn’t count on it.
But, the LC’s are on the way, albeit slowly. They’re getting 2 for launch.
I’m hoping one of those inflatable car camping air mattress companies makes something specific to LC and 4R to level out that difference in floor height.
