I have no idea to be honest. I just thought it was neat when he told me about it. I could see that being the case with a clutched system for sure though! It doesn't have a Toyota/Lexus badge so it was never on my radar ๐คฃ
I don't understand why you opened with hostility to my initial comment. I wasn't "liking or disliking" your choices. I was just making conversation on an internet forum. Your choice is irrelevant as this vehicle doesn't have locking hubs regardless.
For the sake of continuing this thread...
Yeah, I understand the advantages of full time. It's why I want a cruiser ๐. I just don't see the benefit of disengaging the hubs on a full time vehicle for the negligible part wear. Other items on the vehicle are going to have issues way before the driveline parts just from 4WD engaged.
FWIW...
I'm hoping so. I had heard about that happening with PIO, but the only PIOs mine has are the cable kit and the door edge guards. Im hoping it was just some mix-up in the system at the port and once the hold is lifted they'll just be delivered as normal.
The pessimist in me wonders if the ones...
Nice to see someone else's who got removed. I originally had roughly the same ETA (Shifted to the right a few days) and mine has been completely missing from toyota.com/search-inventory for about 10 days. Mine and 2 others with the same ETA all disappeared at the same time. I keep checking to...
Yeah I do think it's a bit out of order. My LC LC was in the second round of allocations (allocated 04/20) and its VIN ends in 4600ish. Other vehicles built in the same time frame have much lower VINs
Interestingly enough, in my 20 mile radius there are two dealers with the EXACT same configuration of LC. Trim, colors, port options, delivery window. The VINs are different so they are different vehicles.
The other dealer still shows the original window of 5/23-6/09. My allocation still...
That one is a LC trim that they just put a roof rack on. I don't think the difference in skid plates is significant beyond appearance so result would likely be similar.
Your dealer will get randomly assigned allocations. If the dealer gets one that matches closely to your preferences, they'll offer it to you. At that point you can opt to take the allocation, or wait for one closer to your preferences.
The dealer has absolutely no say how any of the allocations...
I still think there's an underlying issue in testing. There's no way the 250 should be an 8s+ vehicle. Especially when most people who have driven them are reporting them being fairly peppy.
Just determine in the test drive if it works for you or not.
That's not accurate. My LC trim with no roof rack is on hold, as are many others. The QC Hold thread seems to have the most likely answer which is an issue with Traction Control.
It's already been happening to the Cruisers. There are multiple threads on this forum about it. Almost all of them nationwide are on hold.

I saw the edmunds article mentioned on another forum. It doesn't seem to match up to owner experiences being reported. Interested to see on my test drive whenever that happens.
It's worth noting that it's been pointed out that the only way to disable auto-stop/start is to put the LC in...
Me too. I was originally after underground in the LC, but that color faded on me. I am worried about touching up Wind Chill, but I'm hoping the white wont show wear very bad and if I get a bad spot I'll cross that bridge when we get there.
My wife has an Ice Cap Rav4. It isn't a bad color, but I went with Wind Chill and I think that color is better. I primarily went with wind chill because out of the 5 LC premiums my dealer has gotten, they have only been Wind Chill or Heritage Blue.
Wind Chill strikes me as a more premium color...
Im not knocking the collar for what it is, but it will absolutely sacrifice ride quality. It works by compressing the springs so they sit higher. If your springs are already compressed, there's less room for them to compress further.
It's a lift to fit tires. It's not a performance lift...
Yeah I basically just told mine "Thanks, hopefully it isn't long". It's not his fault. My dealer does still have 2 with dates, but they're late June dates. All of the may and early June LCs are on hold.
Think he's just blowing salesman smoke, but this is what my salesman has to say. Doesn't explain the portland delays, or why they would hold it in Japan if it just needs to change port of arrival.
