    Sightings on the Road?

I am in the DC area and the only other LC I have seen is the black First Edition owned by my dealer's General Manager, LOL. However, I did a 3 week trip out west in August and counted 3 other J250s out there. Two were going the other direction. I passed the third heading east on I-90 in North...

    Impressions After 6000 Miles

Thank you for the compliment. I have long been a Canon photographer, but since I bike a lot and also hike, I wanted an excellent but compact-style camera to carry with me, so recently I acquired some Fuji cameras and lenses. Most of the photos here were taken with a XT-5 and a 70-300mm lens...

Rhino-Rack is coming for the Land Cruiser!

Hi Weston, will @Rhino-Rack provide the ability to fit accessories like your awnings to the OEM LC 250 roof rack?

    LC on the OBX

Very nice. We won't be making it down to the northern NC 4WD until spring where we have a house. Make sure you wash the underbody after getting salt water spray on the truck. That practice helped us keep vehicles like our 4Runner with minimal rust over many summers on the OBX.

    Impressions After 6000 Miles

I saw your thread some time ago which is why I mentioned it. How do I get in the queue? Btw, I am not sure how private messaging works on this forum. "Conversations" appear to be public by default. Any tips?

    Integrated Dashcam MicroSD card compatibility

I believe this is correct. However, I think the key is the Dashcam app keeps metadata about the folders, photos, and video, and if the card does not match the app metadata -- as in I deleted a few videos with the SD card on my Mac and not using the app --- then the app will say no bueno and stop...

    Impressions After 6000 Miles

Good to know. My SD card appears to be glued or fixed in some fashion to the card assembly.

    Highway driving discussion

We just got back from a 5600 mile trip and even though I did all the driving, my wife and I were both very pleased with the comfort and driving tech of the LC. We both have back problems and felt comfortable in the seats and did not need any additional lumbar pillows which we always used in our...

    Impressions After 6000 Miles

Yes read that in the manual and agree that temp range is critical. However it makes zero sense that there’s an upper storage limit. It’s probably just the max size that Toyota sells. I can’t tell or find on the web what card Touota is reselling as they have it white labeled as a Toyota part...

    Integrated Dashcam MicroSD card compatibility

Check you phone wifi config for the Toyota wifi and make sure it's not set to auto connect. Mine was and every time I managed to connect the Dashcam, it would auto switch over to the vehicle within a few seconds. Every time.

    Integrated Dashcam MicroSD card compatibility

You can read my take on the integrated dash cam here on my post: Impressions After 6000 Miles The issue with connectivity is that connecting the Dashcam Wifi requires the vehicle to be on. If the vehicle is on, the vehicle wifi (not CarPlay) is set up to auto connect on your phone's wifi...

    20” tires on the beach

You should have no problem with 20 psi even in dry deep sand. We have been 4-wheeling the North Carolina OBX since the 1980's with Jeeps, 4Runners, and even all wheel drives with no problems. If you want to see a lot of very capable 4WD vehicles that do not air down get stuck, just go visit...

    Impressions After 6000 Miles

Sorry for the long post but a lot to pack into our thoughts on our new Meteor Shower Land Cruiser which we have had only since July 10. We absolutely love our new Land Cruiser. We just got back from a 5600 mile drive across the west visiting friends and seeing places in the Dakotas, Wyoming...
