There is no sunglass storage in the LC, I made one. Bought a leather case with magnet from Amazon, glue it with double side glue tape. Works perfect.

If you place them on the dash board the way you have it on the photo, wouldn’t they get direct sunlight and get hot during extremely hot days, esp if u have metal frames? I could imagine this might be an issue in warmer areas during the summer such as Az, nv, Utah.

Have you considered using magnetic strip tape (magnet to magnet)? Allows you to remove the case from the dash as needed should you want to take the case and glasses w you or something?

I hate that we have to figure out a place to hold our sunglasses. I'm using the magnetic-flap visor clip. It's meh...

Yeah, it's hot when I take it out, has to apply the air conditioning for a while before wearing. But I don't see anywhere else that is more convenient and easy to apply. Here I can take it out and put back just use one hand. A magnetic strip tape sounds like a good idea, thx.

There are so much electrical stuff in the car now a days that sun glasses has become secondary.

What about consider putting the case above the rear view mirror and using the magnetic strip (2 pole magnetic strips) to attach it to that box for the electronics (see photo) and the other side to the case or perhaps rbetween the ac controls and center console (see photo).
Want to clarify that u can’t use the one sided magnetic strips and stick one to the dash and use the same to stick to the case. If u plan to do this you would have to get the magnetic strip that comes w opposite poles.https://a.co/d/eI6AZF3

Just realized that w the type of glass case you have u might be able stick it on the underside of the ac controls. Might have enough room to have it hang upside down and hopefully glasses won’t fall out

So all magnets have a North and south pole, to get a magnetic tape strip to stick to another tape strip............ flip it over.

But a more efficient way would to use smaller more powerful neodymium magnets that can be glued to the back side of plastic panels (completely hidden) and an additional magnet glued to what ever you're trying to secure. The drawback of this method, along with the tape strip stuck to the visible side of a trim panel, is it'll attract any metal particle to that surface. I epoxy metal plates/strips to the back side of trim panels and use really powerful neo magnets to attach items like my radar detector to the center speaker grill trim piece.

1st pic finished mount
2nd pic Speaker grill upside down to see if the magnet was powerful enough
3rd pic Metal plate epoxied to bottom side of the speaker grill

The location behind the screen has a 45 degree slop, this makes it easier to glue to it without worrying dropping off. Other locations might be vertical and I am afraid either the glue or the magnet won't be strong enough to hold it. Remember you have to open the lid of the case and that will need some force.

I bought a climbers chalk bag and strapped it to my headrest. I just drop it in the top, it’s about 4 inches in diameter so it’s easy to drop it in, plus I can see it in the rearview mirror
