Any ideas if running-board can be added to the 1958 trim? I do not like the predator door step, but that's the only option I see. Is that supported only for the middle trim?

Also, how high is the base from the ground? Is there something, like a handle, to help older/shorter people get into the vehicle?

I have an FE, but pretty sure all trim levels have the well placed grab (oh shit) handles on both driver and passenger side doors.

Thanks for your response. Did someone try attaching the running boards from the other trim to 1958? Can someone confirm there are board mounts on 1958 are dimensionally compatible with the other trims? Second, where do I order them?

All three trim levels of the LC use the exact same frame, engine etc...

If you want Toyota OEM parts, it'll probably take quite a while to order them as most, if not all, of the available parts are being put on existing LC's waiting at the ports.

If you're ok with aftermarket parts, GOOGLE will be your friend, however these are so new there aren't many available as manufactures' haven't had time to develop parts yet. I'd say in the next six months that won't be a problem .........

There is a place on this forum where members list parts wanted or where they have parts for sale.

I like the side view of the 1958 and would consider removing the running boards as comes with the LC model, I have on order. No running boards makes the side view less boxy looking. Not sure if theyโ€™re necessary for comfortable vehicle accessibility.

Look at the accessories on the Toyota website. It shows both types of rails available for all versions.

Ok. Once I get my vehicle, I will message you. If you decide to take them off, we can chat. Thanks

I do not see running boards as an optional accessory. You mean to say Rock Rails and Predator Steps, as the two options for foot steps? Rock rails is not exactly a running board, there is no room for a foot-step there, as I understand.

I was thinking of the Predator Steps and Rock Rails. You are right, I have not seen standard running boards.

I have the same problem. Nobody is making them yet! I even tried Lexus GX550 which has the same body but they don't have them ether.

Up here in Canuckistan our 1958s come with running boards. So yes they can be easily added if you can find somewhere to buy them.

Unfortunately nobody has them. Toyota doesn't have even the part # to order them. So far they come only with the high level trims and you can't buy them separately.

My privious post contains the part numbers for the stock running boards. They don't have a 'PT' in front of the part numbers, because they are not accessories. I have not verified that the connector for the lights is indeed tucked into the harness, but I suspect the short cable assembly from it to the lights, might not be present for a take off. If someone does go this route, please post pictures of your adventure.
