My husband wants to put side molding on my new FE 2024 LC to help protect from door dings…I am not crazy about the look. Thoughts?

It also doesn't stop backdoors since their far tip is above the wheel well.Maybe get wider rock rails instead? Those will also help protect from door dings (from cars at least, not so much other tall trucks/SUVs). For instance:

I put them on mine the first week I purchased. Even though I fanatically park far from everything, it has saved me from a scrape already - I also added the predator step rail for my partially disabled daughter to climb in. Both work well in terms of protection and both are easily, very easily installed in less than an hour.
