Illuminated Door Sills

Well that answers that.... it's pre-configured.
Id assume that most connectors for option parts are all present, its just a matter of buying the extra options. Toyota typically does that to save time in manufacturing and not having different model wiring connectors to install.

Not in my Tacoma

Most probably, several people have stated the same thing concerning the TRD air filter.

My illuminated door sills dropped off my spec as well. Already lost TRD air filter a month ago.

So I just installed these on a FIRST EDITION that did not come with them as a port installed option. Assuming it was pre wired I bought some off ebay. Whole install for me was 15 Mins. 10 mins on the first one then like a minute each. No tools required to pop off existing sill, lift one end with your finger and just tug them off. Took me longer to take the protective end cap off the factory wiring harness in order to plug it in. Used a ice pick kinda thing with a 90 bend in it to lift the release tab you can see on the connector.

Glad to hear they are an easy install. Did you find the OEM door sills on ebay?

Glad dealers have them in stock.
A lot of dealers that do online part sales are just drop shipping from toyota's parts ordering. Instead of getting them sent to the dealer, they just send them directly to you.

Makes sense. They don't need to hold and process parts inventory.

mine dropped from my window sticker but I just bought some to install on my own

Looks like the link posted ran out! Got mine from Toyota of Lake City, which seems decently rated (4+) from the online reviews.

When I install yours I would like to see how they look and how the installation goes, I have bought them too but they will take a couple of weeks

Yes—- probably around $200 to install the sills. I havent seen any pictures with the moldings installed… have you? I saw a new LC in Waikiki last week and it looked nice. No side moldings and just thought it might take away from the sleek look. Wish Toyota had some live pictures.

Plus, the only place I saw ‘First Edition’ was on the mud flaps. No where else.
Today I installed my side moldings and I really liked it.
