Window visor install affecting windows closing

Has anyone else purchased in-channel window visors that caused any of their windows to not roll up all the way?

I just installed window visors on my 2025 Land Cruiser 1958 yesterday, and now my front 2 windows won’t roll up all the way. When I try to roll them up, they catch, and then eventually roll back down when I click it to roll upward.

I’m worried this will damage the window’s motor/safety system and I’m also worried that if I try to remove the visors that the adhesive will damage my weather stripping.

While trying to roll my front passenger window up, I somehow managed to scratch the glass where it contacted the visor as well.

Has anyone else had anything similar occur? And if so, how did you resolve it?
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

I just tried probably the same set on mine Monday and sent them back. The rear window closed but the front had issues so I did not even bother installing the other side and packed them up. I tried not to force it and just felt this was not going to work out.

So I will keep looking for other options. Been looking at the Husky brand that is low profile and does not stick out.

Best of luck to you!

Ya I kinda regret installing both sides, guess I may just be too excited to have the visors on lol. I’ve always loved the purpose they serve, but I don’t want to do a tape-on one because it’ll ruin the material on the door frame. I asked ChatGPT as well and it’s recommending to let the visors ‘bed-in’ for a couple days and see if I can also do a reset method to recalibrate the pinch sensor, but I don’t want to mess with it and damage anything either.
I’ll check out the husky one too, thanks man! Really hoping it works out.

I HIGHLY recommend the OEM window rain guards from Toyota. The install is SUPER simple and straight forward. I did ours myself in under 20 minutes. They are a little more expensive than aftermarket, but the quality really shines. I got them for about $140 shipped.

Best part is they are low profile And NOT in-channel.

I was looking at those too, but I really don’t want to adhere anything to the outer frame in case I ever remove it/it comes off and I need t replace it. I just don’t want to damage the molding, It happened on my Elantra.

I have the well visors, very similar to OEM only much darker, can leave the window cracked in hot weather and you cant readily tell from outside. They are available as four or six piece to continue the line all the wat too the back if that is your preference.

They also cover the front plastic piece at the bottom of the window, so they wouldn't work if you have ditch light brackets that mount there.

The foam adhesive strip will remove easily, if "future you" ever decides to remove them. Just a little heat, elbow grease and some "Goo-Gone"............ it would be as if "past you" never installed them.......LOL
