Has anyone else noticed that their windows are scratched on their new LC? I had mine 5 days before taking it to get tint installed on the front windows. The installer immediately showed me that I had several deeper scratch marks on my passenger side front window. Upon further inspection, we found that every piece of glass on bit sides of the LC had scratches (some slight and none as bad as the passenger front but still there on all glass except windshield and rear window).
The tint company is highly reputable and informed me they’ve seen this plenty of times. A common reason it occurs is that during transportation the vehicles may be loved by train or be near train track and the dust that accrues on a vehicle has to be carefully washed so as to not scratch glass or paint.
I immediately took my LC back to the dealer who tried to say that the tint company probably scratched all my glass to cover up their own mistake. This had me livid because it’s the same tint installer they use for their own customization when requested and it’s again a highly reputable business. From there, I spoke with 2 GMs at the dealership, was told to bring it in for their “glass repair” folks to look at, and ultimately left with the response of “nothing we can do”. NOTE: they never got back to me, I had to keep reaching out to them to get any type of response.
I’m going to try and see if Toyota will help directly but was curious if anyone else had this issue. Never have I gotten a new vehicle that had scratches like this.
