What to look out for when accepting delivery?

Hi all,

I’ve paid a deposit and expect to be taking delivery of a 2025 LC with premium package in meteor shower by the end of this month. What should I be looking out for when I go to pick up the vehicle once it arrives? After reading this forum, I’ve got a list going, and I’m wondering if there is anything else I am missing? My list includes: high pitched noise/squealing when backing up, CarPlay dropping/not working correctly, heated/ventilated seats not being tuned enough to even notice they’re working, seat memory positions being programmed correctly on the driver seat.

If you could do it over again, what would you check before accepting your new LC? I’ve gone from super excited to super nervous about my purchase after reading all the threads about problems lately, and dealerships being unwilling to fix or even acknowledge issues that seem to be less than rare.

Look for things that will not be covered by the warranty, like paint defects etc. Everything you listed will be covered by the warranty even if there is an issue.

But Toyota has a functional QC department, I don’t think you need to worry.

Check battery voltage and tire pressure.

I echo everything said here, including you don't really have too much to worry about.

Check tire pressure, make sure the "unattached" items like the smaller trailer hitch cover are in the car. And have them program the memory seats and the "close and lock all doors" button on the rear hatch, both of which specify they need to be programmed by the dealer.

One other piece of advice: don't "claim" your car with the Toyota app before picking it up. It makes the initial setup more difficult. They leave all of this to the salesman who are generally inept at all things technological.

Cosmetics is what I would be the most concerned with, once you drive it off the lot.......... "you must of done that, as it wasn't there when you drove off" and the normal mechanical functioning.
