2025 Toyota Land Cruiser
Greetings,
My name is Joe, and I just purchased a 2025 Land Cruiser. This is my first Toyota. I have been a committed Ford person most of my life. I just traded in my 2003 F-150 with 209,000 miles. It ran good and looked like just came off the showroom floor. It was getting old, as am I. My new Toyota has an amazing amount of new technology, that is a bit overwhelming, especially as I try to read and digest the 700+ page owners Manuel. I will get there, but it will take time. I am retired. I worked for over 30 years, maintaining 2 jobs, a full time job, and a part time job. Little time to enjoy “down time”. I live in the largest retirement community in the US, and now play Pickleball 4 days a week. I look forward to learning as much about my Toyota Land Cruiser as possible from knowledge people on this site.

Welcome gijoe! Retired here also, for quite a spell actually, and anxiously awaiting our LC. Am looking forward to some serious off-roading, as that is what the LC is all about. How about you? How open is exploring in Florida?

There is SO much to see and do in Florida. I am not really into off roading. My LC will be my everyday ride. I was in an accident quite a few years ago now. I had a Lincoln Continental and was t-boned by this little piece of crap which totaled my car. I will never ride low to the ground again. I just got my LC on Dec 26, 2024. I’ve only taken it out a couple of times. I guess I am a bit overwhelmed with the new technology and fearful of getting in a wreck. Baby steps initially. I hope you love your new vehicle and find many off-roading opportunities.

Agreed re not riding low to the ground, and the wife emphasizes the sentiment even more. BTW, we are in our early 80's so betcha we have a few years on you, but still going to venture out into the desert, just no more crawling around in abandoned mines. :)
