I'm considering replacing my OEM 265/60/20s for 18s. The bulk of my driving is on road, but when I go off road, I go fairly far off road and alone, so want fairly strong tires. I don't do any rock climbing, but the trails might be fairly rough, for example: Old Buck Town Road

I've found these articles:

I've also seen videos about narrow vs wide and don't have a strong opinion, as long as they fit without lifts.

I'm leaning towards the AT3s. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Some other 18" sizes that are similar to OEM stock size and will fit without mods are 275/70 or 285/65. The BFG KO3, Duratrac RT, and Falken Wildpeak are also popular if you need a more durable off road tire with extra puncture resistance and are willing to sacrifice some MPG. Final choice may come down to pricing/availability in your area.

I’m running the Toyo AT3. I’m very happy with them. 275’s fit fine with no issues. I’ve also run Nitto’s and they were fine as well. IMO both are solid choices.

Just switched to the Nitto Terra Grappler G3's in 275/70/R18. Seems like a great tire for these trucks. Very happy with them so far. No lift required and no additional poke using the stock Toyota wheels.
