Radar Detector Hard Wire

I'm not a wild speeder at all, however, we have a lake place about 200 miles away which takes me through a number of small towns rife with Barney Fifes looking to nail lake travelers with their speed traps.

If anyone has hard wired their radar detector, where did they jump off of in the upper counsel? I had the dealer hard wire my Escort into my 911 a couple of years back, but don't know how / where they jumped into.
I don't think Toyota is into hard wiring radar detectors like Porsche is. Escort Max 4.
