I am a first time owner of a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I am a car enthusiast and have owned several sports cars but at 73 i wanted to settle into something that sits higher off the ground and easier to get in and out of. There is so much to learn about 4wheel drive vehicles that I decided to join this forum to learn more about my new vehicle and all its capabilities But first Im trying to get a better understanding of toyota safety sense which brings me to my first question , " has anyone experienced where the car started without the key fob and stopped and started again when I reached my destination. I know i have auto start and stop on my Iphone but I never activated it."

Not sure what you are asking. To my knowledge there are three ways to start the LC:

1- FOB
2-Credit card electronic Key (almost the same as a FOB)
3-Toyota App (dealership may have set this up without you realizing it)

Welcome to the asylum!

There is certainly a lot to learn. Many of us are still learning.

I thought I’d seen a thread on here, or maybe it was on another Toyota forum now, where the car seemingly started without the fob. The car had a credit card key left in the glove box that neither OP nor the sales guy knew about. So I’d say if you don’t have the credit card key (#2 in EOD’s post) it’s possible it was left in the glovebox & allowing the car to start seemingly without the key fob.
