Just picked up a 2025 1958 model in ice cap last Friday. I have had some Toyota trucks in the past. Most recently, I had a 1991 FJ80 for about 10 years, and I sold it a year ago. I am happy that Toyota finally brought a more base spec Prado to the United States, and I can't believe I am now driving a new one off the lot. Loving the drivetrain so far, a bit peppier than the 3FE!

I ended up paying MSRP for it, but, that included new Katzkin black leather seats that the dealer had installed to make the base spec more enticing. I could have picked up a model without the aftermarket leather for -$2500k. I was okay with cloth, but ultimately the leather will be nice for cleaning up dog hair. The leather is nicer than the OEM leather in my wife's Audi.

I am telling myself that I am going to keep this one near stock. For now, I am just planning on getting some AT tires on it in 285/70 R18. I picked up some OEM roof rails from a local fellow member earlier this week. I plan to mount my 2.0 meter ARB awning on that. Maybe skid plates, sliders....

I am happy to be here!

Welcome! Except for possibly tires, also keeping ours stock. Had the optional factory skid plates, including the rear differential, installed. All my many years offroading in the Nevada desert, prudent operation negated the need for such options as raising the vehicle, thus rendering it more top-heavy.

Agreed, as it sits it is as capable as I need aside from tires.
