Hi, all. Just popping in to say hello. Looking forward to gleaning a lot of information from you all (and sharing what I can). After a months-long hunt for a new Tacoma TRD Pro and securing an allocation, I genuinely couldn't make up my mind between the Tacoma TRD Pro and the GMC Canyon AEV Edition. I have weighed all the pros and cons of each and am seriously leaning toward the GMC when the time comes. Having said that, we needed to move on from our existing F150 Raptor due to our move to the western slope of Colorado and the need for a smaller vehicle to get to trailheads, lakes, camping, etc. I was originally going to trade the Raptor for the Tacoma, but with my indecisiveness we pivoted.
Last weekend we drove 600+ miles through SE Colorado (got to see the tarantula migration - cool and creepy) and picked up a new LC FE in meteor shower from a no non-sense dealership in Kansas. First order of business is a lift and new wheels and tires. I found a local shop that is going to do a Dobinson's 2.0" IMS lift with new Method 703s in 17x8.5 and a plus 35mm offset mated to Toyo Open Country A/TIIIs in 35x11.5 6-ply, C load. Apparently, the Method 703s in the 17" +35mm offset are not due to arrive until November. So, it will remain stock for a while and I'll post up pictures of the results when it happens.
Tint and light PPF are the only other modifications I'm planning for the near term.
