2025 LC250 Premium
Hello fellow kids.

I decided to register here because we have just decided to purchase a 2025 TLC Premium in Heritage Blue. Nothing is signed yet, but I have received an offer from our dealer and I am going to bite the bullet.
I still have to do some work (or selling actually) to get the funds, because man, these rigs are expensive ๐Ÿ˜… I will be trading in one vehicle, another one and a motorcycle is currently listed for sale.
If it all works out, I will be left with a 1977 Toyota Hilux until our new Land Cruiser arrives.

Welcome to the forum Rijk! For sure we are "fellow kids" with our toys! But it sure is fun, right?

Yes, very exciting! ๐Ÿฅณ
I have a bit of history with Land Cruisers actually. I use to own a FJ40 for about 20 years. I decided to sell it a couple of years ago. No regrets but now I'm back in line for more.
Meanwhile I am consuming as much info about the LC250 as I can, just to keep me going.

We owned an FJ62 for quite a spell, and hindsight says we should have kept it. However, sure looking forward to the modern Land Cruiser. Even at my advanced age (83), love "bells & whistles", and especially the TSS 3.0 to keep me from making dumb mistakes on pavement.

here is a pic.

Talk about coincidence, while typing here I get a confirmation that our LC will arrive at the beginning February. The pressure is on !

I know what you mean. I have no regrets but I miss the FJ40 dearly. In fact I sold it to someone cross country (which in Canada is a huge distance) and we became friends. He keeps me updated.
But in all fairness it just wasn't a daily driver. It was just sitting and I saw it deteriorating.
Stewie (the 77 Hilux) on the other hand does do daily duty because it is handy to have a truck around on our property so he's going nowhere.

And, you know what they say, 80 is the new 70 and 70 is the new 60, so technically we are the same age ๐Ÿ˜

Those are some nice rigs! Hope you enjoy the Heritage blue LC!
So fellow Canadian here with a question for anyone who might be "in the know". I have noticed that the American market LC 1958 Edition has the rear seat vents in the ceiling but the Canadian market 1958 has them on the back of the center console. It would sure be much nicer to have them in the ceiling in my opinion. Anyone know why there is a difference?

Wow, I didn't even notice that. I saw a 1958 in person. And made a picture of the rear. The second picture is from my LC, which have the ceiling mounted vents. It's a crappy picture, sorry, but it was sent to me., I haven't seen it in person.

It's so weird. There is no difference between the Land Cruiser land cruiser models in Canada vs. the states but the 1958 has this one difference... I can't fathom why they would be different in these two markets?

Is the 1958 dual zone vs LC premium tri zone which could be considered an upgrade option?

No. Everything Iโ€™ve seen shows the American 1958 with tri zone and vents up top, and the Canadian 1958 model just dual with vents in the centre. I donโ€™t want to upgrade just for that I just donโ€™t know why there would be that difference? Maybe we get a global model and the US gets a domestic?

Well, today was an emotional rollercoaster. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Delivery went fine and the LC is awesome. But on our way home we got rear ended by some young dude who was texting or fiddling with his phone.
The LC held up great and we are fine, which is most important. But de LC is back at the dealer for (probably) a bumper replacement.

There is more to the story. The guy that hit me decided to split. It happened near a roundabout and I went right assuming he would follow, but he bolted. I luckily saw it happen so U-turned and chased him while on the phone with 911 (they advised me of course not to follow and couldn't be bothered showing up).
I caught up, managed to get in front of him and forced to slow down and follow me to a parking lot. He was luckily insured. But he didn't seemed bothered and of course denied being on the phone or fleeing. We managed to exchange info and luckily the dealership was at the scene within 15 minutes. I have to admit I was confused and didn't know exactly what to do so they were of great help. I can't say enough good things about Tony Graham Toyota in Ottawa.
There was some issue when filing a police report because the paperwork wasn't even registered in my name yet because that takes time, valentines day, long weekend yada-yada. The LC was 1 hour old and had maybe 30 miles on it.
So now I am driving aound in a Corolla Cross :ROFLMAO:

Sorry to hear about your crazy and unfortunate experience so far and hope all goes well!

Picked my LC up in Central Newfoundland in mid Jan and still trying to get everything setup the way I like it, could take a while, many options! Lol
I traded my 2017 4Runner Ltd. for this 2025 LC Premium and impressed so far. I am not crazy about the stop/start feature and also disabled all the autobraking features since it is annoying and a little unnerving if your not use to it. Would have bought it locally in the St. John's area however the local dealer tried to shaft me a while back and I intend on using them for warranty work only!
