I’m looking to trade the rectangular/square headlights from my LC LC edition for someone’s FE style round headlights. I’m located in Gig Harbor, WA. If someone had some technical proficiency on how to do the swap that’d be helpful. Or we could facilitate meeting at a shop with needed parts.

I would be willing to trade but I am 3000miles away from you...

This gave me the idea to do the same, my square for round. But since I'm located in Oregon I'm going to wait to not steal your options @DarthAckbarious :).
Much appreciated! I hope we can both figure something out. It’s about $2700 plus $600 labor to do it through the dealership. I imagine if someone wants to make the swap, we could meet at the dealership and just split cost on labor for them to swap out the parts. Can’t imagine we’d need extra parts in that case since it’s a direct swap.

I'd also throw in some cash if someone has the technical proficiency to make the swap as well. Hoping to find a 1958 owner local to PNW who is interested.

Note: would probably make most sense to meet at a local Toyota shop to have them make the swap just for labor since they need to do something to initialize new lights after install.

Just a thought -- Perhaps contact your Toyota salesperson. Tell him that if s/he finds someone willing to do the swap (there has to be a 1958 buyer who wants the square lights), you will give them $XXX as a finders fee.

Salespeople like money. And the dealership would make 2 customers happy.

Good idea, I will do this as well.

I love the idea of folks switching the single beam headlight for the triple beam headlight. I just had a look at the Repair Manual procedures for removal and reinstallation and it's quite advanced. Doable I'm sure but having the service center would probably be a good idea for anyone not experienced with calibrating advanced automotive components.

No luck as of yet- I reached out to several Toyota dealerships in the area, but none have any potential clients interested in a trade. All are more than happy to quote me for a full replacement with labor for $3500 though 🙃

So, still interested in a trade if any PNW 1958 owners are as well!

UPDATE: Have tried reaching out to several local Toyota dealers but no salespeople have identified anyone looking to make the trade.

Btw did you see the detailed install video one toyota dealer put on youtube? Someone linked it in this forum.
