LC stock wheels vs aftermarket ?

What's the advantage if any?
The stock wheels seem to be very good. Beadlocks ok, I have them on my Jeep, different application.
Otherwise, looks and maybe bigger wheels is the only thing i see thats really obvious.
Are they lighter, i doubt it, stronger???

I'm running 275/70/18 on my stock 1958 wheels. They work and look great.

Only reason I may go aftermarket is if someone makes a 17" wheel with the correct offset and hub bore.

There are very few 18" wheels currently on the market with the correct hub bore and offset. Some people think hub centering rings are sufficient; not sure I'm one of them. And some people like their wheels to stick out like a skateboard; guess I'm not one of those, either.

I think you'd need to be doing some pretty extreme off-roading (read "big hits") for there to be any difference functionally. I doubt most will be doing that with this vehicle. Aesthetically is a different story.

Aesthetics and lightweight, wider for more traction with bigger tires (again aesthetics) are the main reasons I look to upgrade wheels.

currently have my eyes set on some volks coming in a 19lb per wheel 18x8.5.
