This may be a dumb question, but this is my first push start button vehicle. Is there a way to keep the stereo on after turning off the engine without having to turn off and push the power button again? I've looked through the owners manual but can't find anything.

It stays on until you open the door. I think its a cool feature that I am sure you can change somewhere on the settings..

Stock, mine turns off when I turn the engine off. I havent looked for an answer. I wonder if it is a trim thing. I have LC non premium. Need to go through the settings.

My 5th gen 4Runner with push-button start would keep the radio on if you put the transmission in reverse and turned the engine off. Then shift to park and it would stay on for 10-15 minutes until the auto shutoff timer expired.

I have not tried this in the LC yet, but that was a nice workaround when I wanted to keep the radio on and the engine off.

Mine is a LC premium and it does the same. I looked thru the settings today but couldn't find anything.

I've mistakenly kept my shifter in neutral when I switched it off. Confirming the radio stays on, ignition ON (but not READY) so it works. What I can't remember is if the warning chimes keep going off.

I have a Land Cruiser Premium, and when I turn it off the radio stays on untill you open the door.

If you push the start button, without pushing the brake pedal, does that turn on the accessory mode?
Yes. It can get a bit confusing. I sometimes don't know if I have the accessory on or off.

I have noticed that if you put it in park and open the door, I'll get a message something to the effect "Do you want the engine to automatically shutoff after 1hr." You have the option to choose "yes" or "no"

Go into the vehicle settings in the radio. There is an option to turn ACC mode off. This will allow radio to stay on when engine is turned off.
I just did that in my 1958, works! Thank you, love this forum!

Thank you for that, this has been driving me crazy as well, esp. since 'ACC mode' isn't defined in the menu where it is turned off/on.

I wonder how this affects usage of the 2400w inverter, if at all?

How long will the stereo remain on, if I do this?

We took Miss Daisy to a drive in theater a few weeks ago, and I kept having to turn acc on again, to keep the stereo playing again, for the sound of the movie to continue.

The timeout seems to be the same. Except now I just push the button on the stereo, and if I recall correctly also bypasses the splash screen for an additional win.
