Inside rear view mirror wiring.

I purchased a radar detector that mounts to the inside rear view mirror. The wiring connects to the rear view mirror wiring.

The radar detector wiring has a black and a red wire. I do not know where to connect them in the rear view mirror wiring box attached to the windshield. Help?

Did you get this remedied as I am doing the same thing . I read another post in this forum and he had pictures and wire diagram. But I tried what he did and didnt get the same result I did the same thing. Red to Red and Black to Black. It did power up my unit but the unit told me that. The voltage was too low and shut itself down. So Im looking for another wire to tap into

After talking with an audio place, I bought a Bend Mount hard wire kit and have the audio store wire it.

They felt wiring into the rear view mirror was not as cool.
