IMPATIENTLY WAITING...

Vent I must also!!! The dealer is playing games, but allegedly am the next in line. Albeit, a very small dealership (they also sell Jeep/Ram), but they refused to accept a deposit until after the owner and friends of friends got theirs.

That sucks, how can a dealership refuse a deposit?

I hope the dealership I gave my deposit to isn't playing games with me either. See from what I understand, customers cannot custom order any Toyotas, its what ever is allocated to the dealership and they call you when one comes close to your spec. But, this dealership claimed they are able to get one exact to my build spec, got an email and sign off and everything. No mark up, and only a $500 deposit. I'm praying its true, I'm gonna follow up with them in Sept.

You mentioned also a Jeep/Ram dealership, and I immediately thought of Stone’s Toyota. I had a much better experience with Teton Toyota in IF (although this was 5 years ago). Love that part of Idaho, still miss the summer nights!

Yep, Stones. Just purchased a Sienna for our senior center from Teton, and they "know the drill", but did not feel cheated. Myself and the family have purchased several vehicles from Stones with no issues. Best not to put any trust in any stealership. Stones is walking distance, and throws in lifetime washes, so everything else being equal, I lean towards them. Much depends on the salesperson. Old as dirt I am, whatever happened to brand loyalty, as for example Stones owns a Toyota, Jeep/Ram, Hyundai, and Kia dealerships, possibly more. We retired here from rural SE Nevada (Lincoln County), and miss the lack of a state income tax, and no tax on groceries, not to mention great 4-wheeling country, with roughly 90% of the state being "public lands".
