Hi, I'm Josh, first time LC owner, and excited to go into the mountains skiing and camping with my '25 1958, wife, and dog in New Mexico and Colorado. My last vehicle couldn't make it up the mountain on powder days so I've been comparing the LC trims and GX for a while, dreaming of fluffy snow.

This is the first new car I've bought in 18 years, my last car had manual transmission, windows, and locks so the 1958 feels like a spaceship to a simpleton like me :).

We have the Toyota roof rack and skid plate options, and are somehow getting 25+ MPG, though "like a grandma" describes my driving style.

Thanks for setting up the community, and I'm excited to see how people setup their LC's for camping, since I'll be learning and doing with mine and will appreciate the inspiration.

Welcome to the forum Josh! Yep, your driving style reflects in your MPG. Good to hear you are getting 25+, and at my advance age, am a great grandpa, expect the same when our LC finally arrives. (A long story!) I also considered the GX, but feel good about the decision to go for a LC.

Welcome Josh! I was in Santa Fe in October & November with my LC - if you saw a heritage blue / grey LC with temp tags back then it was probably me. I love the vehicle and I am sure you will have no trouble with snow, as long as you have the right tires. My LC just laughs at the snow (as long as I am smart about my driving).

We lived in Santa Fe for a short while and go back to visit pretty often. Beautiful area and a great place to have a high clearance 4x4!
