Am going to install a 2nd battery to run my fridge and have a redarc dc/dc charger ready to go. I need to run a 3rd wire to the charger to indicate when the ignition is on so it will only charge when the engine is running. I have a mini tap for the fuses and am trying to find one that is only energised while the engine runs. I was hoping the inverter fuse would do it but it is energised when the car is 'on' and not just when the engine is running.
Has anyone found a fuse or a way of tapping into a wire that is only energised when the engine is on?
